Hello everyone, I have come to you to share a personal experience that I have had with my best friend involving Crohns disease. So, my best friend had went into the doctor because his stomach had absolutely been killing him for a few days and then next thing we knew he was in the emergency room getting sections of his colon and intestines removed. Due to what the doctors believe to be Crohns his intestines had turned black and hardened up resulting in this emergency surgeries. I had to help my lifelong buddy recover both physically and emotionally from everything he endured including having to use a colostomy bag for a few month span after his surgery. This is where things get exciting for EVERYONE! I am also a professional athlete who just underwent an arm surgery and was recently (2 to 3 months ago) informed about a juice that promotes holistic healing and uses natural ingredients to promote better health and well being. Well, after doing research of my own I saw all the benefits of this juice and noticed that it is supposed to be especially good for gastro-intestinal health. Knowing what my buddy had been through I felt that it could possibly help him out. Not wanting to skew his opinion on the juice I didnt tell him what it was supposed to do. I gave him a bottle of it and told him just to let me know what he thought about it. Needless to say, He called me exactly three days after I gave it to him and asked me where I got it and how I found out about it. I immediately asked him why he was asking and he simply replied word for word "It makes my stomach feel good!" Not knowing exactly what he meant by that I asked him "what do you mean?" and he replied "Usually my stomach feels like there is something passing through and it will hurt REALLY BAD for like 5 to 10 seconds, and Im usually on the toilet 20 times a day! But since Ive been taking this juice my stomach hasnt had that "passing" feeling and dont have to live my life based around the bathroom." From that point on he has taken it ever since and now says and I quote "I cant live without it".
Now, I want you to realize that I am not trying to "push a product" on to any of you, I just feel like this is a very powerful 1st hand experience that I, as a human, should share with other people who are in similar situations as my friend. I just want to let others with Crohns Disease know that there just might be something out there to help benefit and improve their quality of life... All I ask is that you do as I did, do your own research and form your own opinions. This honestly could be exactly what you've been waiting for. If you would even like to speak with my buddy feel free to email me and I can make that happen too... He is super excited about how he now feels! Well, I hope this is a true story and you are not pushing Zrii. I'm just a little concerned because I have tried Zrii (I use to work at a Pilates studio which sold it) and it caused me to flare up. Hopefully this product does work for some.

I was diagnosed with Chron's Disease in 1992, after having undergone an 8 month period of severe pain, loss of appetite (it hurt to eat anything but grits and tuna fish and orange soda. We still don't understand why) I also went from 265 lbs to 175 lbs, and lost my job as a telephone installer. I was originally diagnosed with colitis, then pancreatis, then fibroids, and under went a hysterectomy, before someone knew what was actually going on. I finally underwent had emrgency surgery where 3 feet of my intestines were removed. Over the years I have tried everything possible to treat the pain, including Zrii and Noni juice. Neither did anything but caused more pain and severe diaherea. I have become accustomed to the illness and was able to return to work, which discontinued my social security benefits. Anyhow, I guess I am just finally finding a place to share, since at the time of my onset, there were few available websites and no information of this disease in African American females. I am presently taking a small dose of predinisone, 5mg. daily, and have not had a recurrence in atlest 3 months. I will always have diahrea and have worked around this. At 55, I am just happy to be alive, but am not sure what to do now. No one will hire me with such a severe medical history.(Of course I know it's against the law, but employers never disclose the information used for not hiring anyone.) Any suggestions would be helpful. I live in South Carolina. mssky1@yahoo.com

The prescription antibiotic rifaximin (200 mg take 3 times per day) is the best possible treatment here. IT IS EXTREMELY SAFE! It may even cure the underlying problem, something thought impossible until recently. The trick is finding a doctor who knows much about it and will prescribe it. It should be taken for at least 9 months to a year to insure a cure. Physicians who are not up to speed on this will tell you that there is no cure for Crohn's. Don't fall for that. There is a ton of very promising scholarly literature regarding the apparent cure using rifaximin.
Also, if you can get a physician to prescribe the antifungal nystatin (1 million units taken 3 times per day), it can also bring benefit. Some speculate that Crohn's is not only caused by a bacterial infection (which rifaximin treats) but is a complex of pathogens that might be exacerbated by fungi (which nystatin treats). Both medicines work best if taken on an empty stomach. About 3 days after starting these medication, you should incorporate a psyllium fiber (Konsyl is best). Make sure it is psyllium, other fibers will not work as well. Research has shown that psyllium works best because these pathogens bind to it and are evacuated. Konsyl should be taken 3 times a day with 16 oz of water. Try to reduce your intake of sugary/carb foods. Get 15 min (no need for more) of full body (as full body as you can get) of sun exposure per day (this will cause your body to produce vitamin D, which will greatly benefit your condition). Also, being taking as much of the amino acid Glutamine that you can get your hands on (best taken on an empty stomach). You can buy it fairly cheaply at Walmart (take it by the tablespoon full). Finally, after you have completed the antibiotic course, start reintroducing good bacteria into your gut by using a medical-grade probiotic such as VSL#3. Remember, even when your symptoms go away, do not stop using rifaximin until after at least 9 months. This is the only way to be sure that the disease-causing bacteria has truly been eliminated (kind of like a person with TB has to stay on antibiotics for 9 months, even if there are no symptoms). Some mycobacteria take a long time to eliminate and they hide well. RIFAXIMIN (and nystatin) ARE EXTREMELY SAFE BECAUSE THEY ARE ESSENTIALLY UNABSORBED SYSTEMICALLY. They just work in the intestinal tract, they don't travel throughout the body. |
