I met someone who is completely colorblind and that got me wondering what real colorblind people think of people using the word "colorblind" to mean "doesn't care about race"? I've even noticed on this forum even though it's under "health" many of the posts are talking about race colorblindness instead of real colorblindness, even in the news articles. I'll probably ask him the next time I see him, but I want to know do any colorblind people find this offensive, or do you find it funny that people use "colorblind" to refer to race even when obviously colorblind people can see race (since darker people would be a darker shade of gray and lighter people a lighter shade of gray)?

I am colorblind, just told people 2 years ago. I am 17 now. Anyways, I think its kind of funny that people would use "colorblind" with racial arguments.

Don't bother me either way really, it's not like after I've told someone I'm colourblind they have congratulated me on my progessive attitude.
Ironically I'm the grand cyclops of my local KKK Kidding. |
