No shizz Sherlock! The health care system will always harvest as much money as a patients resourses will allow. No change expected here.

Call your local colonoscopy center and ask how much a colonoscopy costs. Wanna bet they won't tell you! Wanna bet price depends how much you got!

They have pills for everything.
I went to a new dr once and after a 10 minute visit he sent me home with 5 prescriptions.
Many more times than not, the drug is more dangerous than the ailment.
If I'm not sick enough to stay at the hospital, I'm not taking pills.
Do you ever read the "side effects" for the pill you're taking? Read it. On many drugs "death" is one of the 'side effects'.
I'd rather be sick, choose better foods and exercise.

I'm familiar with what this story reports.
Once upon a time your Dr would order a test if you reported a symptom that pointed to something suspicious, such as internal bleeding.(If you know what I mean)
Today, you get a colonscopy just like you recieved a social security number.......whether you need it or not.
My current Dr wants me to take a blood test evey 3 months to monitor high cholesterol (224)
What's in it for me? If my cholesterol remains at 224 my Dr wants me to eat pills which do nothing more than supress liver function. The liver is an important organ with other functions.
What will happen to me if I take those pills (suppressing my liver function) and they cause my liver to fail?
I'd rather not know what my cholesterol is.
I'm alive and very healthy WHY would I want to suppress the function of ANY of my organs.
Yes. Doctors are crooks.....or stupid. Pick one.

I wonder what the long term effects are from taking cholesterol medicine are for like 40 years ? What does this do to the liver ? If my cholesterol is high say in my mid 50's to 60, maybe then I will start, I won't start the meds at age 40.
