i have a swollen cold sore that i think already ripped open on its own. how do i get rid of it?/ how do i get the swelling to go down?

I have found that if there is already a blistered affect, there is only hope of keeping the surounding area from becoming infected. As soon as the blister weeps enough I do my best to very gently drain the rest and I aply abreva to the wound and hope for the best. I am always searching for better methods so I recomend everyone do the same.

I have been living with these dame things forever.....Might sound crazy....but as soon as you feel the tingle...put ice,,,,take lysine and than put nail poish on it..
