omfg buddy you know what i dont know if its totally gunna work but u got that painful tingle to stop almost completly where i applied.. dont believe me try it urself.

as soon as you get the small blisters, put bleach on them til they pop and bleed. it hurts t kills virus instantly!! then alls you have is a small scab that looks like a small zit, treat it w/antibiotic ointment to speed healing of scab. bleach kills everything!!!!!!!! take l-lysine daily 500-1000mg, to prevent. i used to get them almost monthly until l-lysine. havent had one in two years!!!!!!

Camphor + Phenol works really well if u catch the cold sore at the time of "tingling". It's only a dollar, and all Dollar General stores sell it. I promise it helps a whole lot, and it cut down the healing time. I've been using my grandma's old skool remedy of "camphor" in a bottle, since I was a little girl. Don't ask me how she made it, but I don't think they sell the liquid form of camphor anymore. Granny use to make me a liquor bottle full of the stuff, and when u apply it to the affected area throughout the day, it dries the sore up so well. So imagine what the Camphor + Phenol can do. Try it!

Yes all you need is rubbing alcohol. No fancy creams or vitamins. Simply apply 70% rubbing alcohol, and for me i slightly puncture the skin with a sterilized needle (not enough to bleed just under the skin)----and be careful the liquid inside the sore is highly contagious so don't go spreading it around just apply the paper towel and alcohol with pressure until the wound dries up. Cold sore is gone in one day. wham bam thank you ma'am.

aloe vera helps very well because it dries up the sore. and put some ice on it to reduce the swelling. take lysine vitamins once a day to prevent yourself from getting them.

I used to get my cold sores the moment I woke up in the morning so I never had time to prepare myself for what was to come.
Like that wasn't bad enough I used to get THE WORST cold sores and trust me im not just saying that. My entire upper lip would get so infected that I would not be able to look in the mirror. It used to grow twice sometimes TRIPLE in size. I looked as though somebody punched me in the face, and on top of that I couldn't even move my lips to speak properly.

While I would be asleep the infection would burst and spread everywhere so I would wake up in the morning to discover even more cold sores.

I can tell you this I don't know ANYBODY whos had it worse then me...but I don't get them anymore.

I saw my G.P nearly a year ago and he explained to me that it was my diet that was the problem. He told me that the reason I kept getting them was because I wasn't eating enough fruit and vegtables (my 5 a day). That I needed to eat my greens more than anything else every single day. Of course I didn't believe him, I thought it was a joke "THIS is what my Doctor prescribes to me?" But I was fed up and nothing was working.

So I said what the hell. Ate 5 different fruits and lots of mixed leaf salads, somedays even tuna, EVERY DAY for my lunch only. Forced myself even if i didn't enjoy it for a month and realised the effects straight away. Now its been nearly a year and nothing...NO COLD SORES! A week after starting the new diet I felt the possitive effects.
Seriously I don't get anything now not even a tingle! Stopped eating so much fruit nowdays but still continue to add salads and fruits to my lunch. Still eat junk food though...chocolates and chrisps and burger kind chicken meals!

Look it might not work for everybody but I swear to you i used to lock myself indoors for a week every month sometimes twice a month. Try it whats the harm?

my cold sore is huge and is coming up through my lip peircing and i have a job where i gree poeple witha smile im going to try to yogurt thing but ineed something to stop the swelling like now i have work in a couple hours T^T

hey, so im 14 and i woke up with a tiny little coldsore on my lip, i read a few sites and decided to put toothpaste on my lip. I woke up this morning and my whole upper lip has swollen and it hurts like mad. i just wanted to know if the tea bag method works.Im really afraid to try these suggestions incase it makes it worse. For many of you wondering if cold sores can spread, the answer is YES!!!!!
So use common sence while having an outbreak. This means if you are just now getting an outbreak or you've had it for a couple days the last thing you want to do is spread it. Oral sex should be avoided, your simple sore spreads from the kiss the kiss leads to oral next thing you know you and ur partner will have herpes, which is the clinical name for cold sores.
Herpes in the genital area is very painful and follows with much more medical problems

Ive been getting cold sores since i was little this works! Apply a small amount as soon as you feel the cold sore coming on, at the first tingle or itch. Bob don't use bleach! The Chemicals that your putting so close to your digestive system will hurt you in the long run. I just had one on my top lip and i put renewall gel on it and that day it was gone get them when they are starting every two hours and they will disappear with no chemicals! http://4health4life.my4life.com its only 20 dollars and is enough to last over a year!

kiyoko use renewall the second it comes on put it on every two hours with a q tip it will go away within a day http://4health4life.my4life.com its only 20 dollars and is enough to last over a year!
