In 2002, a clinical trial led by Dr. Hans Dohmann in Brazil took 21 heart transplant candidates and gave 14 of them bone marrow cells. The improvements + results were so spectacular that the American Heart Association accepted the paper and it was presented in 2003. Every year since, overwhelming data supporting the benefits of adult stem cells for treating heart disease has poured in until in 2004, The first non-clinical trial stem cell treatment center in the world starts treatment of hundreds of human patients.
