This article is based on a false premise. The early studies were not carried through to conclusive evidence. There may be a point beyond which cholesterol can itself be damaging, but usually as a result of other things going wrong.

The rate of diabetes cases have increased in recent years. Type 2 diabetes, for example can easily be acquired if you have the predisposing factors like a family history of the disease, obesity, and stress. Weight management, exercise, and correct medication play big roles in managing this disease. See http://www.rotlaw.com/actos/
