Taking both Lipitor and the bone-strengthening drug Didronel reduces plaque buildup in the aorta better than Lipitor alone, a small Canadian study suggests.

It is good to know that medical researchers never cease to explore and discover possibilities for new treatment approaches. Although this news is encouraging, the thought of multiple medications and their risk of side effects may also be daunting. Bone drugs like Fosamax have been known to cause thighbone fractures, and knowing that the may stand on top of another medication's side effect may be disheartening.
