My Cholesterol was 278 with the LDL being 203. I was put on Simvistatin which I had horrible side effects. I tried red yeast rice which also I had bad side effects (I know its a natural statin). I started eating completely Vegan (I had done that in the past). In 6 weeks my Cholesterol went from 278 to 159 and the LDL went from 203 to 90. No meds. Of course there was exercise in there also. I am a 17 time marathoner and cyclist. I had a few injuries and got out of shape and started to eat REALLY bad. Anyway, just thought I would post this if anyone in interested. There is a film on Netflix called Forks over Knives which talks to this.
