Dear Dr. Gott - I wish the person who wrote you about foot drop (or drop foot) had mentioned the state in which he/she lives. Another reason for this condition is Hansen's Disease (leprosy) which is, by far, more prevalent in Louisiana, Texas, Florida and California.

For seven years I had the privilege of working at the National Leprosarium in Carville, LA.

What disease moves through your body attacking organ after organ? I started with poison ivy, then an allergy to adhesive that spread all over my body. Next I was anemic and needed shots of Protonix to stimulate my bone marrow to produce enough red cells. Then I developed sleep apnea and neurally mediated hypertension--I become unconscious for a second or so and fall. Next it was 30% clotting of the major blood vessels into my heart. My eyes become inflamed, my gums get sore, I'n either too hot (sweat pouring off me) or so cold I need two throws even though my husband pushes up the thermostat to 75 degrees. I have microscopic colitis, gastroparesis, and now psoriases. The only thing I can think of is inflammation run amok. If you have a more professional opinion, please, please let me know. Ginny B

My 10 year old grandson's feet smell terrible! I can't keep his shoes and dirty socks in the house. Any ideas on how to help him and us solve this terrible odor problem?
Try Gold Bond foot powder on his feet and in his shoes. We tried putting "Odor Eater" foot pads in the sneakers and had some success...but the foot powder really did the trick. Good luck.

my brother-in-law in suffering of major migraines and he calls them semi-seizures (epilapsie ruled out) and walks and talks like a zombie, he started being like this when they added 5 more cats to the one they always had, I think the cats are making him sick because he spent a week to a hospital in London, Ontario and was clear of any seizures or headache. Can you help me make it clear to him.

A previous question came to Dr. Gott regarding tinitus, and he recommended a common supplement. Can you refresh my memory?

I read an article in on trigeminal neuralgia in my local newspaper, and I have had it for 16 months. I have tried everything the DOCTORS have perscribed. Finally after going to a chropractor he gave me a flyer on another doctor that performs surgery for what I have,so I went for it.BEST DECISSION I EVER MADE. PAIN FREE...it's called Microvascular decompression. No side affects no nothing BUT BACK TO NORMAL.I CAN DO EVERTHING I USED TO AND IT'S ONLY BEEN 3 WEEKS SINCE THE SURGERY.If you would like to know more or any of your readers would, have them e-mail me at philliplopez2000@roadrunner.co m I would be happy to answer any question you or they would have,EVEN WOULD TALK TO THEM. I know what they are going through and can help them.

Dear Dr. Gott,
Both my sons have Psoriasis. I sent them your remedy with bananas and both need to know which side of the banana should be applied. The outer or inner. And after application, should any remaining material be left on or washed off. Thanks for responding

I have had a pain in my left side (front and back at the bottom of my rib cage) for 1-1/2 yrs. I have had an xray and ultrasound and they found nothing. It started with a knot (kink) in my back..that went away...a week later I couldn't move without this horrible pain going through my side...that ended up going away. now I am left with this pain. Any ideas?????

I am a 68 year old with type 2 diabetics. It is under control thru medication and excerise. My question is: When I except the littlest amount of excercise/work I get extremely tires, i.e. breathing hard, massive sweats and dizzieness. It seems to be getting worse each year. Could you shed some light on this?

After twising my knuckle on my right pointer finger, I had an MRI with the following diagnosis:There is a thickening and increased signal along the proximal radial collateral ligament at the 2nd MCP joint with surrounding edema suggesting a partial tear or high grade sprain. My doctor says there is no way to treat this and that it may take up to one year to heal; which is way to long as I have enrolled in culinary school. Any advice?

The no sugar no flour diet worked for me. Now how do I stop losing weight without gaining it all back?
