The unvaccinated DO pose a risk to others. Some people cannot be vaccinated due to things like immune disorders, seizure disorders, allergies to eggs, too young etc. In the past, those people have been protected by the high vaccine rates (95% or more) of the people around them. It's called "herd immunity". Since the majority of the community can't get the disease it can't spread its way to the group at risk. This used to be the case in the Amish communities but we are seeing epidemics hit this vulnerable group because the immunization rate in the communities around them are dropping below that 95% point. Another example I can give you is personal. The newborn baby of a friend of mine got pertussis (whooping cough) from unvaccinated family and died. My friend's brother did not believe in vaccines so his kids were not immunized even though they attended public school. Two days after visiting the new baby several of the kids were diagnosed with pertussis, one hospitalized. The family had unwittingly passed a preventable disease to a vulnerable infant with deadly results. My kids are immunized. They do not pose a risk to others. Good luck to yours!

BTW, Pharmaceutical companies do not make money on vaccines. Soon there will be only two companies left in the U.S. that make them. Why? Viagra makes more money for them in one day compared to all vaccines they make in a year. Vaccines are expensive to make with virtually no profit margin. Plus these companies sell them or give them away to organizations like WHO and UNICEF to distribute in 3rd World countries. No profit there. Depending upon the country and the disease we are talking about, death rates from vaccine preventable diseases have gone down in poor countries by 70-90% due to the distribution of low or no cost vaccines made by the "greedy", "cold" and "callous" companies you so despise.
