I need to know for sure that chicken pox can only be caught from actually touching someones blisters with shingles.Just today i have been diganosed with C Pox,as for weeks now i have been bathing and applying lotion to my 87yr old fathers shingles... last week he was admitted into a care home and as I am not able to visit him,my 20s and 30s sons are afraid of contracting C Pox which they never had in chilhood.I really need to reassure them as other wise my father will have no visitors ! and the move to care home was traumatic enough.Im so heartbroken and can do nothing but let my sons know its only if they touched grandads blisters, and that it cant be contracted just by being in the room with him.
Thank you
Brenda
