Well, celiac actually renders people unable to eat gluten... which is a protein found in wheat, barley, rye, and oats.

Thanks, Anna, for mentioning Hipp Kitchen. Our rapidly-growing community of allergenistas has gone underserved for too long. Products, services and resources (like Sans, and the restaurants who are truly 'getting it') are growing more and more sophisticated every day.
Thank goodness. It's one thing to promote that you're gluten free, it's quite another to let the folks know that you've done your homework about cross contamination. You can't be a little bit kosher, it's 100% or it's nothing.
With folks like you Anna going out and meeting the entreprenuers who genuinely care about the allergenistas, getting their stories, and letting everyone know, it helps the business owners for sure, but for us allergenistas, it's a godsend.
Thank you, thank you.
