Cataracts are easy for adults but what isn't said in this article is the fact that infants who suffered with cataracts have it much harder. My infant son was diagnosed with a cataract at 5 months old and had to have immediate surgery. However unlike adults, with infants they do not replace the lens. He has to wait until he is older to have the lens replaced and now we have to work on restoring the vision he lost in that eye.
