It sounds like you can step back and see your experiences through your husband's eyes, and that has to help you both stay sane. From what you've told us about him through your columns, I think he must be a really good guy. I hope you have many more happy years and adventures togethers.

It is so sad that there is so much cancer around - especially on Long Island.
What is beyond belief, though, is just how many people put themselves at risk for cancer:
- they smoke
- they use cell phones up to their ears all the time (Radiation causes CANCER!! That's how Pierre and Marie Curie DIED)
I don't blame cancer patients for their disease. But we ALL need to try avoiding things we KNOW can be bad for us.
I wish Lauren and anyone else battling cancer, a speedy and complete recovery.

There are a lot of people who try to do everything right and still get cancer. The most healthy people get cancer. Genetics plays a huge part and if you've got a weakness in your DNA your body cannot resist when exposed to cancer chemicals,etc.
- My husband's been fighting cancer these last 2 1/2 years not considered terminal but it's a battle.
