Does not surprise me in the least. This virus has already long been linked to various other cancers, such as lympthatic type cancers and a less common blood one. There's no doubt that there is a definite link between immunity and cancer, and this particular virus has a direct affect on the immune system. Cervical cancer is also thought to be caused by a virus. In some ways this is good news as if a virus is carcinogenic then there is every chance for a vaccine; although there are problems still with the cervical cancer vaccine at least there is one and hopefully it can be improved. There may be a vaccine developed from this or a way given to prevent it.
