For some, breast cancer radiation can lead to heart problems

Oh this article really "pushed buttons" for me. We really have to be careful with reporters "interpret" research for us.

They didn't even tell us which women are at risk, but I have read actual research on this (as compared to media reports)...

The women at greatest risk are women who had radiation in their LEFT breasts. The heart is on the left side of the chest.

Please, fellow travelers on this path -- take ALL these concerns to your doctors. You can't trust what you read on the Internet, and you can't trust what you read in the media.:(

Along this same line - I am a breast cancer survivor and am not experiencing heart problems, but am very concerned and "pained" (both literally and figuratively) by long term side effects of radiation treatment. Anyone else having this new experience? I'd like to commiserate!
