The fact is, we're no closer to a cure than we were 60 years ago. If we were capable of finding a cure we would have found one by now. How much research, how many experiments can be done with no results. Research, diagnostics, drugs, surgery and treatments are big money makers as "hope" sells. No one is accountable for the lack of progress. Just keep giving money for "research". You can't claim to be a cancer "survivor" until you die from something else. It comes back. Very sad commentary. My wife has it and is, at the moment, without symptoms. Scans and tests have become a way of life. I know too many people who have a recurrence, usually fatal. We've become complacent with walks, runs, and slogans. It's a sad situation. In the meantime, we'll have to settle with "cheerleaders".
