Please keep extreme makeover on abc and direct tv. We just suscribed to Direct TV, and enjoy the sharpness of our tv pictlure.
They do alot of good for people, and the world needs to learn from the Extreme Makeover, to help people, instead of putting them down.
That hospitals need to be understanding insteead of making families suffer more, from bills they owe the hospitals.
Alot can be learned by everyone and all business, doctors, hospitals, and other people who help people feel better.
Please keep them on the air, and find other tv programs about helping people.

Sandra, I hate to burst your bubble here, but if all hospitals wiped out patient bills, then the hospitals would end up bankrupt and out of business faster than Ty Pennington can say "MOVE THAT BUS!!!" Hospitals already eat up cost of care for the illegals that come to the USA, and now you want the hospitals to do the same for us legals too? Isn't going to happen, that I can assure you of. Hospitals are in business to make money. They can't afford to not bill patients that seek their help. It is unfortunate that Mrs. Farina became as ill as she did. But, it appears that she will be fine, and they will find a way to pay the hospital bills. What is more important - hospital erasing the Farina's debt or Shawna getting quality care so she can remain here with all who love her? It's clearly the latter. I have a friend who died from spinal cancer, and his widow still has bills. Then, there's a neighbor that had breast cancer, survived, and has hospital bills to still pay. Then, there's my ex-boyfriend's 10 year old niece that has a nasty form of leukemia. This girls mother told me that her insurance doesn't even begin to touch the constant bills that she and her current husband get from the children's hospital that treats her daughter. Their bills as of November, 2006 were in the neighborhood of $50,000.00 and skyrocketing. The mom told me she doesn't even dare think about the bills until she knows for sure the final outcome for her daughter, and that the mom is doing good to pay as she goes along, but that she also might have to file bankruptcy because of the mounting hospital bills. So, I have enough firsthand knowledge of what the costs are. Some have less, some have more. Is it fair or equal? No. And while I care about what happens to them, I also don't care to have my taxes continue to rise, and hospital costs will continue to rise and be passed along to you and I every time we need the hospital or an ER visit.

Laci is my best friend and when I went to her house for the first time, I was overwhelmed. Her family is amazing. I remember watching this episode and thinking, "wow that's a cool room." once I saw this room for the first time (the dollhouse room for Summer) I just climbed to the top and sat there. Their house is amazing and I never knew Laci would be my best friend. She really is an amazing nice girl. Nothing like you think someone would be if they were on this show. Thanks Laci for not bragging or being mean about it.(:

Bless that big heart of your Sandra, I wish I had seen this sooner, I had no idea it was taking place. There needs to be more Sandras around.

What happens when these people can't pay the property taxes on these extremely expensive homes? I've saw news stories where due to this and mortgages they lose their homes.

She had breast cancer! and alot of people on that show have problems that they cant help! stop sayin that they 'win a house'! no. tey DESERVE a new house for being able to have the strength and fight their illness/disability. If you had a critical illness and your house was in as bad of shape as alot of those peoples houses are, you would like a new house too. so dont say something like that.

I too think that morals and past decisions should play a part in "getting" a home. I know that when they applied there were two other families in much more dire circumstances with much worse housing and disabilities that were passed over. To put this family up as all deserving when they obviously have issues that would not put them up as the best role models or the most deserving. Hopefully they are using this as a turning point but from the care of the outside of the home and other actions since it seems not.

Maybe that's why the bitch got breast cancer...so god could keep her ass at the hospital instead of married men's beds. I hate trash like this.
