Miss America contestant explains double mastectomy

I was getting ready for the day, when I heard the interview with Rose. As my daughter reaches the age of puberty my fears of what she may be genetically cursed with. Her paternal grandmother was diagnosed at 33,55,&60. Her paternal Great Grandmother died from pancreatic that was originated in her breast. Her paternal Aunt was 52 when she died from breast cancer. I don't know if I should have her tested allowing for the earliest intervention possible, or wait til she is older so she can make the choice herself.

Thanks for that educational piece that many of us don't even consider.
