The writer who wonders how much the drug companies are paying for Sen Vitter and his comments is blessed with ignorance. Two years ago my wife had cancer in four parts of her body after the fourth recurrence of breast cancer. Today, thanks to avastin the cancer is not identificable on the pet scans. Thank you Sen Vitter. The death panels have started and the medicare chief is the leader!
Cancer is different for all people as research has shown. The Obama adm is putting it back to one size fits all which means that many of you are going to lose loved ones to this disease because of his incessant REFUSAL to listen to others.
Thank you!!

I personally think he is politicizing this issue, and I don't appreciate it. Donald I am so glad for your wife's good outcome but she's not typical. For the great majority of women it hasn't worked.

This has nothing to do with Obama whatsoever.

Here is a hyperlink to 107 comments that are posted on the New Orleans' Times Picayune / nola.com website, reacting to David Vitter's contentions (I believe he's grandstanding) about the FDA recommendation against use of Avastin:

Of course he's grandstanding. He's just using it for Obama-bashing. I think it's just despicable to take a truly important issue -- a disease that has harmed or killed so many people -- and use it for a political talking point.

I am an independent but COMPLETELY disgusted with those turning EVERYTHING into "Oh that awful Obama."
