Plastic surgery's affordable to all

Full story: Sun-Sentinel

Plastic surgery isn't just for the rich and famous anymore. It actually seems to attract the low- and lower-middle-income crowd more than others.

Cosmetic surgery in Miami is on the rise and you can be rest assured of finding the perfect place to have your operation done. It's a sensitive job and as such, you must find the surgeon that will take care of you and get it right. It takes years for someone to perfect the craft of cosmetic and plastic surgery. After all, there are no do-overs when it comes to plastic or cosmetic surgery.

Cosmetic surgery is not just about enhancing your beauty; it also assists those who have damaged skin or birthmarks. This is the general thought that women go for cosmetic surgery in Miami, but recently it has been noticed that the percentage of men opting for cosmetic surgery has gradually increased.

Hello, PLEASE, I am begging you to listen to my story before you make a huge mistake possibly. You do not want to risk ending up with a situation like mine. PLEASE!
I used Dr. Brosto in April 2009 for rhinoplasty. My boyfriend and I flew to Argentina together to have cosmetic surgeries. When I first met with Dr. Brosto, I thought he was very nice and pleasant, but didn't quite seem to listen to what I was wanting for my nose. I wasn't all that unhappy with my old nose, just wanted the bulbous tip slimmed down. After explaining this to him, I decided I felt comfortable and he acted as if he understood my requests. Well, mine turned into a horror story to be honest. Surgery in the hospital was so scary, when I woke up from surgery, my bandage on my nose needed changing and I was bleeding all over my shirt. I was at the end of a corridor of the hospital where no one was at, and I actually mean no one. No nurses, no other patients, no foot traffic, nothing. There was no light bulb in my room, no lamps, so it was complete dark except for opening the blinds to the street lights. Laura, Dr. Brosto's assistant, was suppose to be at the hospital at 5:30 p.m. to pick me up and drive me back to my hotel. It was 6:30, she still wasn't there. After calling her several times on the cell phone we had rented, she finally sent a friend of hers to pick me up because she said she was unavailable. Yes, this is all true so far. Unfortunately. Well, skipping to the results of my surgery... When Dr. Brosto took the bandage off in the next week, I had a small bump on the left nostril, right at the tip. He said this would go away, it was normal. Laura checked in with me over the next four to five months after I was home. I kept telling her how mishaped my nose was. After five months, I sent her pictures showing how deformed the tip and bridge looked. Well, I never heard from her again after that. So, now what was considered a "garden" procedure by plastic surgeons is now going to cost me roughly $6000 US to correct. I've since visited with 3 different plastic surgeons in the U.S., all of which state that Dr. Brosto basically butchered my nose tip and bridge. It was aggressively overcorrected, to the point of collapse. I have a bossae and pollybeak at the same time! It is horrible. I have contacted Dr. Brosto and Placid Way and they both deny that I was ever a patient. They asked that I pay them in cash,$2900 US, and obviously keep no records. Please, please, please do not have your surgery here. In fact, I would not do it abroad at all, because if something goes wrong, you are stuck in another country with no leverage whatsoever. They can't be held accountable for when things like this happen. I hope this saves at least one person from going through what I did.

Last year I had a plastic surgery in Santa Cruz, Bolivia with MakeoverTravel, and I wanted to tell everyone that I highly recommend going to Bolivia for plastic surgery.
The doctors who performed my surgery are ot only very profesional and expert in reconstructive surgery (in my case I needed a real face reconstructive surgery after a car accident) but they are ARTISTS.
My sister came with me and she did a full "body makeover" (new boobs, liposuction, brazilian butt lift)...
Surgeons there not just remove the fat or put in implants. They have this special touch to re-sculpt your body,,they add curves and they are very particular about where they cut and where they leave scares.
Their main goal is just to keep you beautiful. They have special techniques to make your cuts in hidden places... and thousand of other things that make the diference.
The other advantage when you go to Bolivia is the cost.
I had a nose reconstructive surgery, face lift with eyelid surgery and breast augmentation with 15 days in hotel and I paid for the whole package 8000US$.

My sister paid for a full body liposuction, breast augmentation, brazilian butt lift and nose surgery and 15 days in hotel, less than 6000US$

The plane ticket was $800 US$ from Miami.
My surgery in the US would with a "not famous plastic surgeon" cost me something like 30.000 US$ and my sister's surgery around 25.000 US$
In Bolivia we paid 70% less with one of the most famous plastic surgeon there.

So I highly recommend Bolivia, and more so I recommend MakeoverTravel. I know this agency works with several plastic surgeons but my surgeons were dr. Cossio and Dr. Suarez, I highly recommend you these 2 surgeons, they perform all the surgeries together. They are truly miracle workers, very friendly, very compassionate, have incredible bedside manners, they are on call for you 24 hrs a day, they leave their cell phone number and say call me for anything, at anytime!

Best wishes to all!:-)

I recommend making contact with the doctor or clinic directly instead of a travel agent, it saves you money and you know who will be doing your surgery. I had my surgery in Mexico, here's the info: http://plasticsurgerymexico.plastica-medica.c...

PS Free I didnt ever think I would be interested in plastic surgery until I hit 40. Things change.

Hi, has anybody tried non-surgical methods of breast enlargement, e.g. Perfect Curves?

Apparently it`s a natural breast enhancement system that promises to increase breasts by 1 to 4 cup sizes. Ive found some great reviews and also found them on sale via eBay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Perfect-Curves-Natural-... but these sell for quite a low price and I wonder if there is a way of verifying if this product is genuine?

Also, has anybody got experience with these pills? Any advice wld be much appreciated. Thanks.

Through time, it has been made available for all, regardless if you are rich or not. In fact, here in the Philippines, a lot of cosmetic surgeries are truly getting popular due to their popular procedures especially when it is endorsed by a famous celebrity, right?:)

Hi Laurence, happy to hear you had a good experience in Bolivia, me too i went through makeoverTravel for breast implants, tummy tuck and lipo, and butt enhancement with fat injection, I can't be happier! Their prices are really cheap compared with others places in latin america.

At Makeovertravel clinic i received an excellent care. From the moment I came into my surgeons office I felt comfortable and confident with my decision. Everyone was so sincere and genuine through the entire procedure and it was such a positive experience.
I never thought I could look like this and feel so good!! Everything is better. Getting dressed is so much fun - I enjoy shopping (which I hated for years.) Even playing with my kids is more fun. My surgeon truly gave me a new lease on life and exceeded any expectations I had.

Surgeons i met there have a remarkable gift and talent to be able to change peoples lives.
