Plastic surgery's affordable to all

Full story: Sun-Sentinel

Plastic surgery isn't just for the rich and famous anymore. It actually seems to attract the low- and lower-middle-income crowd more than others.

I visited this Medical Spa in New Jersey for my plastic surgery.
http://www.elanmedispa.com

My insurance covered the procedure so I could remove a facial scar from an accident.

Hi my name is Donna, I'm 54, I want to relate my Plastic Surgery experience for all interested.

On march 2005 I had a Tummy Tuck (U$ 3,550) and Breast Augmentation (U$ 3,350) procedure done in Brazil with Dr.C, I've heard about his clinic and his work from some friends who've been there for Plastics as well and were very happy with the results.

He did an excellent job, I couldn't be happier, Dr. C is very skilled and I will never regret going to Brazil to have Plastics.

Due to the economy differences between Brazil and North America , Plastic Surgery is very affordable for middle class Americans.

I've did some price research in US before and then I realized that comming to Brazil for Plastics is less expensive, even with the added expense of a plane ticket, hotel and food, the quality of medical care is excellent.

If you need more info I'll be glad to answer all your questions about my experience.

hugs,

Donna M.

I see everyone here is looking to go abroad for plastic surgery and I'm sure that a lot of you would rather stay in the US for your surgery because it is friendly and familar. I just bought an ebook that was recommended on another blog http://www.topix.com/forum/med/plastic-surger... .

It is really a fantastic ebook! I truely learned A LOT of ways to save money on plastic, cosmetic, or reconstructive surgery and stay in the United States. I bought the book at http://www.europeanbeautysecrets.com

I have always felt that if something great was shared to you then you should Pass it forward to someone else. So, after reading it, I can absolutely recommend it to anyone who is going to have any type of surgery.

Buy this book, It is definitely worth the $67.00 they are asking for it.

I don't make a single penny by recommending this ebook. I'm just doing it because everyone should know its out there.

drssayyes.com is owned by mychoicemedical, a subsidiary of VERTRUE which is being sued for consumer fraud. The person who gave you the link to doctorssayes, has her name "barb" at end of link and most likely is employed by the company. It's the same link that a moderator of a plastic surgery message board, owned by the subsidiary of VERTRUE, uses.

It may be prudent to look into other financing options. carecredit.com is one. Another link to a site that tells you a lot about financing and gives financing companies is:

http://www.fi nancing-plastic-surgery...-com panies.cfm

Tips for selecting a financing company:

Choose one where you can see the list of doctors participating BEFORE you sign up. In that way, you can do your due diligence researching the docs on their list before you make a consult.

OK, Barb,

As you realize, other mods there have mentioned they are "working for" the company. I have taken that to either mean being employed by the company as "employees" OR hired by company as "independent contractors". So, you are telling me your situation differs from those (mods) who have stated they were "working" for the company and you are neither an "employee" NOR an "independent contractor" for them?

MyChoiceMedical was purchased by VERTRUE. Anytime a company gets purchased that way, they are not as 'independent' as prior to the purchase and answer to the "new management". A common complaint with regard to Vertrue is that it 'morphs' into another company (with another name), thereby making it difficult for a consumer who would not want to do business with Vertrue or any of it's holdings to differentiate when a new company is actually under the umbrella of VERTRUE.

I REPEAT:
Okay...lets get this straight MissJ. If you are going to attack me at least get your facts straight. I am NOT employed by My Choice Medical. Yes I am a moderator at one of the BEST PS websites on the net. Just because you do not like the owners of the websites..leave me out of it. I have done/said nothing about you..or too you. As for the kick back...that is amusing...and who cares. Its a wonderful way for people to finance their surgery if they are unable to come up with the cash right away. They finance people with bad credit. They can go though this program..and then refinance with someone else. But the main issue is that they can GET the surgery NOW. I know of many people who are thankful they could get a Breast Reduction NOW using this company because their stupid insurance company would not pay. These people who click that link are ADULTS...they are capable of asking questions. I tell them to ask questions and if they are not happy with any of the answers they are NOT locked into having to use the program. I also tell them to make sure that the Doctor is Board Certified in PS. Leave me alone Miss J...I have done nothing to you.
As for Vertrue...they bought My Choice Medical because it is a Legit company. Who cares about the parent company as long as the Company you are dealing with is good. Lots of Parent Companies are sued every day but that doesn't stop us from using the other companies that they own. If this were true NO company would be used as I am sure if you dig you can find lawsuits in all their back grounds. I am not going to respond to you if you write back...so have at me. I don't have to defend anything I do...because I am honest and do NOT attack people.

You don't have to go overseas for your surgery if you think the prices are too high in the US.

If you want to save on your surgery, you should puchase the ebook "How to Save Money on Plastic, Cosmetic, and Reconstructive Surgery." This ebook is packed full of money saving tips and everything else you need to know in order to have a successful surgery. You can find it at www.savemoneyonplasticsurgery.com .

You will save a lot of money on your surgery in the US if you use the information in the book.

Do you think that you are the only one who isn't a pretty as they want to be? Why should we feel sorry for you and give you money? Get a grip!

If you think a breast augmentation will change your life, you need a reality check.

Perhaps you could save some money for your surgery by giving up your internet connection. At least we would all be a little bit better off without your usless spam posts and then you could afford that augmentation in no time.

Barb,

I have NO ISSUE with your posts staying up here and only pointed out the TOS violation so that you would not repeat the SAME actions in the future.

MMH is a competitor to YOUR website, not this one. I DON'T work for MMH nor to I have any financial ties to any website I might link here and any link (to a financing company) I may include is NOT an act unauthorized advertising simply because I don't gain anything by posting the link. Nor does the blog owner lose potential revenue by virtue of my providing a link that he already has a HOSTED advertisment for elsewhere by any of my actions.

That is the DIFFERENCE here.

Also, I might add that the drssayyes LINK is already quite visible on this site as it is a prominent GOOGLE AD. So, anyone clicking on it should do so directly from the paid advertisement here in which the blog owner directly benefits by hosting the the google ad for drssayyes.

None of the links I have provided CIRCUMVENT clicking on the link directly from the blog owners hosted google ad. Yours do as they prompt the reader to access drsayyes from another sourse.

If the blog owner is already HOSTING an ad from YOUR COMPANY, the link should be clicked on by that ad. In that way drssayyes pays the blog owner for each click they get which I don't think is the case when they click on to your direct link.

For your information..posting a link to a competitor website like MMH is not allowed either. I have reported us both for violating the TOS of this website. I did so yesterday..and I reported EVERY POST I made..and EVERY POST you made. I did not see in the TOS that I was not allowed to provide a link to outside this website as there are SO many others who do the same thing. So it is now up to the Moderators of these forums to remove my posts..as I am not able to. I am also asking you to CEASE AND DESIST your stalking of me.

Many of my posts here were in reference to Barb in Maryland, a moderator from the "YTF" boards posting under the logo; "Information" from Queenstown MD. Her posts have been removed.(TOS violations) Hence, in the interests of readers, I feel obliged to explain why my many of posts are now standing alone.

I would like to say that I did NOT request for her posts to be removed. That was HER choice subsequent to my pointing out to plastic surgery consumers acts that I felt were misleading.

I plan on discussing her actions in this regard in my own blog.

The domain name; " NewImage.com " is registered by AdaptiveMarketing the marketing arm of VERTRUE.

VERTRUE has corporate headquarters in Norwalk CT and is being sued by Attorney General for consumer fraud.

VERTRUE is a holding company for many different companies, which take out a variety of domain names to market over the internet. Recently, this company has expanded into the cosmetic surgery market. NewImage.com is associated with Vertrue in that way

For example, Vertrue acquired MyChoiceMedical, a company that manages and markets financing for plastic surgeons. In turn, the subsidiary (MCM) of Vertrue gained control and ownership of a popular plastic surgery message board (which you can access through the website " NewImage.com ").

Because, the holding companies or subsidiaries of Vertrue with a multitude of domain names aimed at marketing to the cosmetic surgery consumer market,(one domain name being " NewImage.com ") don't make the association clear that many of these endeavors are part of Vertrue expanding into the cosmetic surgery market, I offer this information.

UPDATE:
This response was given to a poster from Norwalk CT giving a link here to NewImage.com .(affiliated with Vertrue, the company being sued for consumer fraud) The poster from Norwalk CT deleted his/her entry subsequent to my response to it.

Prior to that, many of my other responses on this thread were in reference to people affiliated with Vertrue (for example a message board moderator getting on here to provide links to thier financing companies)promoting websites and NOT disclosing their affiliations. This person also deleted her entries.

I would suggest that cosmetic surgery consumers being given links to "newimage" (.com) do a search on AdaptiveMarketing, the domain name holder to find that it is the marketing branch of Vertrue, the company being sued for consumer fraud.

Also, posters from Norwalk, CT (place where corporate office of Vertrue is located) presenting as 'satisfied customers' and providing links to "newimage" (.com) KEEP your initial entries to which I'm responding up here and not delete them.
