But study's author says the benefits outweigh dangers

A new study looks at the heart dangers posed by radiation in breast cancer treatment, but despite the 2,168-woman, 43-year survey, the meaning of the results comes down to who you ask.

Let's pretend for just a moment, that you're correct and they do cause some illness, say autism, since that's fallaciously blamed on vaccines. Autism doesn't kill the patient, they just get a bit less capable than the rest of us in some areas, and more capable in others. Okay, and one of the vaccines a child gets at birth is measles, which can be transmitted through the air. Do you know what measles does? It causes the brain to swell, thus making you stupid, possibly insane, and eventually kill you ... in a matter of months, if you're lucky. Measles can also cause pneumonia, imagine asthma but with no inhaler to help you breath, of course even if there was an inhaler to help you breath with pneumonia, without medications people die from it. So you are saying that all of that is better than autism? You are one sadistic human.
Blah Blah, talking off the top of your head isn't science. Your description of measles is exaggerated. Once again you post nonsense as fact. Its a joke.

I think you're oversimplifying the impact of autism, having taught and mentored people with autism. IF it were caused by vaccines I think that would be a real reason for alarm. Fortunately, they do not. As I say, my first husband survived measles with brain damage that manifested itself as epilepsy. A college friend had no eyes because his mother contracted rubella while pregnant with him.

While most cases of bronchitis are viral, I seem to get the bacterial kind, and have had it enough that without antibiotics I would almost certainly have COPD by now. Wouldn't want to have that without modern medicine ... Oh yeah there's the bypass surgery that saved my husband's life when his children were only 4 and 6. Think they benefitted from growing up with their father still alive? I do.

Not to mention the amazing arsenal of weapons available to me when I developed breast cancer (as my mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother did before me).

I think you are underestimating the very significant difficulties autism can bring -- and unfortunately it does not always bring gifts. I've taught and mentored individuals with autism. I think if vaccines really caused autism we would have to look at them very carefully, but this vaccine thing is the myth that will not die.

I've had breast cancer -- and my mother -- and my grandmother -- and my greatgrandmother. I have two daughters. How I wish they could develop a vaccine for breast cancer.

A myth? DUH!! Parents have been saying for decades that their child was developing normally until a series of vaccines, then they were NEVER THE SAME. Autism has doubled in 2 years in some areas and 78% overall in 10 years. Genetic explanations do not fit these facts. Autism is a worldwide phenomenon and for anyone to say environment and genetics have done that shows why a dumbass they really are. There is only ONE common denominator, vaccines which are given in EVERY country in question.

Fallacy of equivocation. I was fine until I stepped on a crack, then my mother broke her back.

You know, you use that word "duh" way too much under all your screen names. The facts about the increase are genetic mingling of parents with autistic traits and/or genes, and improved diagnosis. ALL the good (good) studies completely exonerate vaccines as a cause of autism. Why can't you take this to a more appropriate forum? Because you want to scare people away from ALL mainstream medicine, not just vaccines.

My God, the number of people who have come through who would have died listening to you. I wouldn't want that on my soul.

Yeah, but the sensible thing to do would be to fade away not, start name-calling. This person is here for an argument. Probably the people around him (or her) in real life walked away a long time ago, tired of the paranoid diatribes.

see the latest forum? Autism now 1 in 50 for the USA? In two years it will be 1 in 25 and still government drags its feet in order to protect vaccine makers.

WHY must you disrupt discussions about breast cancer with these rants. Oh I know -- no one else will listen to you!

I just checked your statistic. The current rate is one in 88. There was no NEED to inflate it, but someone did, and you were silly enough to believe it.

That's what I suggest people here do. Any claim you hear putting mainstream medicine down (not that there isn't plenty to criticize, that's not my point)-- check that claim. If you find it doesn't stand up to inspection, you know you're dealing with a snake oil salesman and you can move on.

Look at the list of new forums, it states it right there. 1 in 88 is from 2007. 1 in 50 is from 2012.

And of course, if you found it on a forum, it's true. Now would be a time for me to call you "Einstein," something that wouldn't have crossed my mind earlier.

It's simple, since all you have is a fallacy of equivocation the government isn't going to take your conspiracy seriously. Just because you get paid to spread misinformation doesn't make your conspiracy correct.

I think these nuts should shorten "pharma" to "frma" so it can be a four-letter word.

Oh, you mean the one that pulls a fallacy of equivocation, yeah, been debunked already. Got anything ... scientific?
