Sam is a courageous boy. I pray that he gets the emotional and spiritual support that he needs. It is unfortunately that insurance does not cover the costs of providing emotional ans spiritual support for children with cancer. Large children's cancer hospitals pay for these services through large corporate donors or grants. However, families that live in smaller communities are often left to fend for themselves. I discovered this first hand when my own daughter was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in September 2007

Please support Sam's family and if you would like to learn more about emotional and spiritual support for kids with cancer, please check out the Striving for More fan page on Facebook or @striving4more on twitter or the Striving for More website.

What a courageous young man to be going through all that he has been through. With the many many prayers from around the world and his determination, he will, I believe, get through this. Keep smiling, Sam!:)

Sam and his family are in my prayers each and everyday. I have also sent emails to my church for prayer warriors for Sam. I can not thank Sam's parents enough for their honesty and keeping us up to date on Sam or for the wonderful pictures. Sam has the most beautiful smile! God Bless the Bish family!

Thank you for wirting such a wonderful article about Sam Bish. I live in Georgia and I just finished reading your article.

I think it gives other people who don't know Sam and his family a chance to help. People seem to pull together when something like this happens. I think it brings out the best in them.

Sam, while it won't feel like it to you, you are an inspiration to me. When you get through all of this, there is nothing in life that you won't be able to overcome.

"God, please help me be a Sam Bish today. Please help me overcome."

Thank you so much for providing this article to get the word out about the fundraiser for Sam. I have followed his story on his caringbridge site. If I lived in Ohio I would be at the fundraiser. Sam Bish is such an amazing young man with a smile that just doesn't quit even though he has been through so much! He and his family are an inspiration to many. I will keep praying for you Sam, from Colorado! Also for your Dad, Jeffrey, Cindi.
