I've been taking TriNessa since 2005, with a brief hiatus last summer when they switched me to TriSprintec, which made me really sick. I've been taking TriNessa since late August.
I just opened my new pill pack on Sunday, and I swear the pills are about 2/3 the size they used to be - they're so tiny! Has anyone else noticed this? Nothing else has changed with the pill other than the size, right? I googled it but can't find anything. |

Yes, totally agree. Looking for the answer myself.

I noticed the same thing. I'm planning on checking with my pharmacy later today...you would think that the company would mention somewhere that they're changing what the pills look like...
ok...well I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed it. Let me know what your pharmacy says. Mine didn't say that they noticed a difference.

Yeah i just opened mine and they're smaller. I called my pharmasist and they said that if they came in the regular packaging they should be good, they just may have changed the size, but didnt know anything about it. I'm not completely positive but it would be nice to know!

Yes, I noticed this just this evening when I opened a new pack. They are tiny and are slightly different in color.

my mom said that this happened with one of her generic drugs too, and that the pharmacy changed distributors or something. Maybe that's it? But it's still Trinessa so it shouldn't change the meds itself. I'm still confused.
I am noticing that i'm having much more cramping when I'm on my period this month than I ever have before on the pill (cramping is the reason I went on it in the first place). I wonder if they changed some of the hormone levels. |
I noticed it too, I have been breaking out more and started my period earlier than should have. I would like to know if there is a differenece too! |
I noticed the same thing and I've been on Trinessa for 2 1/2 years, and now I'm bleeding between periods for the first time ever...

that's so weird! but what's more weird - I picked up my new month's worth of pills and they are bigger now/normal sized. I think I got them at the same pharmacy as last time, but maybe they're from a different city's pharmacy. I don't know. This is weird.

I thought I was going crazy. They are definitely smaller and a different color.
I noticed that my period is lasting longer than usual this time around. I really wish they would have told us, seems like most of us are having minor adverse side effects. TriSprintec also made me cramp |

same here! I was freaking out a little bit, but as long as everyone said the same thing, i think its fine...

Me too! The pills are smaller and I got my period two weeks early for the first time in 6 years! WTF!

I have been asking the pharmacy about these new pills and no one can give me an answer! I have had cramps and just don't feel normal?? Also have been spotting in between cycles? I can't find anything on this JOLLC mfd in Manati, Puerto Rico instead of the Watson Lab out of CA?? & why did they change & how can they be the same when the size is sooo different?? & when several people are having the same problems out of them..
How did you find out who the supplier/manufacturing company was? where does it say it? I'll check mine. But like I said, I think my new pack is the original again - they seem larger. |
It is on the bottom of the yellow package on the right side? |
I just got off the phone with rite aid and my doctor's office.
My Trinessa are also different color and I too experienced differences in my body. As of today, I have break through bleeding and cramps a week after my period. Never had this happen before. What is really going on? |
Started the new pack and is still smaller than the originals. I threw my packaging away so I didnt check the manufacturer. My pharmacy was zero help.
Last month I felt insane but feel ok now. Good to know at least I'm not alone and not crazy. Has anyones Dr said anything? |
I've asked everyone and can't get an answer. When I have a second I was going to contact Watson Lab to see if they can explain what is going on. I don't want to be a part of some kind of experiment. I mean that is just nuts that you can't find anything on the internet about them and why change them after so long? The old ones worked great for me.. had been on the old ones a little over 10 years without any problems, if they were the same there shouldn't be a change in anyone right? Very frustrating.

I'm in the same boat with the new pill format, although when I picked up my prescription earlier this month the pharmacist did point out the change. I, too, am experiencing unusual acne this month, as well as tender breasts. I plan to call my gyn/ob tomorrow. I've been taking Trinessa for over 5 years and have never had any side-effects like this.
