geined 60 pounds on seroquel now on topomax...advice???

i am a 19 year old male, and have been struggling with drug addiction and bi-polar for the last 6 years of my life. i now am a recovering heroin addict and have 5 months clean and have been put on seroquel in the meantime. i have gained 60 pounds, going from 130 to 190 in the last 5 months. seeing as i am only 5'8" that's not all just from getting clean thats mostly from the seroquel. i have been working out and trying to lose it and it wont budge and its really frustrating so my doctor just put me on topomax i she told me to take 50 mg for one week (which i already have) and i just started taking the full dose of 100 two days ago, tonight bieng the third night. i know this process wont happen overnight but how long will this medication take to see results? also how long untill i get used to this zombie hungover feeling if that goes away at all...
current meds:
lamictal: 200mgs
seroquel: xr 450mgs
topomax: 100 mgs

The doctor put me on serequel and I gained 30 lbs in about 4 wks. time. It was an uncomfortable bloated feeling. It hurt to sit down and my sides hurt constantly. I slowly weaned myself off 700mgs. to 0 and told the doctor I had to have something else. He uped my other meds, but I still have the extra 30 lbs.
