The labels “antipsychotics” and “antidepressants” are seriously misleading. The “antipsychotics” do not combat or cure “psychosis” or “mental illness”, and “antidepressants” do not combat or cure depression or the fraudulent diagnosis “bipolar mood disorder”. Psychiatric drugs (“medication”) chemically control and disable people -- sometimes permanently. Neuroleptics is a more accurate term for “antipsychotics”, it means “nerve-seizing”. These psychiatric drugs are much more powerful, debilitating and brain-disabling than the “tranquilizers”(benzodiazepine s), which by the way are addictive. The neuroleptics and antidepressants frequently make people look and act apathetic, zombie-like as if they’ve been lobotomized -- even at moderate or low doses. These allegedly “safe and effective medications” always produce painful and serious “side effects”, some are health-threatening and brain-damaging; others are life-threatening. Consider these common effects: muscle cramps, dizziness, blurred vision, seizures, tardive dyskinesia (a permanent neurological disorder characterized by involuntary movements caused by the neuroleptics), tardive dementia, akathisia (constant restless pacing), nightmares, psychosis, parkinsonism, neuroleptic malignant syndrome (NMS is a neurological disorder with a prevalence rate of 2%-3%, and mortality rate of 20%-25%), and sudden death. Tardive dyskinesia (TD), tardive dementia, NMS and parkinsonism are all signs of brain damage. Although TD was discovered and reported in medical journals in the mid-1960s, the psychiatrists covered up or failed to warn patients about this horrific neurological “side effect” for about 20 years until the 1980s. After a few weeks or months on such “medication”, most patients look and act like a zombie, apathetic, indifferent to their surroundings. Dr. Peter Breggin (1997; 1991), Dr.Lars Martensson (1998), and other professional critics have documented these horrendous effects. Many psychiatric survivor-activists and other critics prefer the label “chemical lobotomy”, it succinctly describes their zombie experience. In a psychoprison or psychiatric ward, virtually everyone gets drugged -“put on meds”. Or threatened --“take your meds, or else”. This is also true of children who are admitted to psychiatric wards (LeFrancois, 2006).

Forced drugging compounds this abuse. Informed consent is a cruel sham since psychiatrists rarely if ever warn incarcerated involuntary and voluntary patients about common health risks and non-medical alternatives to the drugs. More often than not, psychiatrists coerce, threaten, or intimidate patients into consenting to “medication”(Burstow et al., 2005; Breggin and Cohen, 1999; Lehmann, 1998; Martensson, 1998; Whitaker, 2002). Powerful personal testimonies against the antidepressants and neuroleptics, including frequent violations of the right to informed consent, were frequently voiced by approximately twenty-five Canadian survivors during public hearings sponsored by the Coalition Against Psychiatric Assault (CAPA) and held in Toronto City Hall in April 2005 (Burstow et al, 2005). Check out www.madinamerica.com

Tons of people are recovering from psychiatric labels and drugs.

Psychiatry almost killed me cause those drugs cause dependence, ALL psych drugs do,the withdrawal reactions are then called symptoms of the psychiatric labels themselves.

Thats how the scam works.

Yes , how interesting about being threatened to take meds or else. That is exactly what happened to me at twelve midnight a red headed nurse named Danny from the old Prince Henry hospital came into my room and shoved a pill in my mouth and threatened , " swallow it down or I will send jo In." HCCC refused to investigate my complaint. send back your replys and support messages to

"swallow it down or I will send jo in" - who is "jo" and why would that be scarey? Do you know what the pill was? Can you complain to someone higher up?

I was told about them by another patient when I was getting psychiatric abuse.

They theatened me with a forced injection to coerce those pills after there pills they gave me made me ick and land in the hospital in the firast place, its horrible but its also standard operating procedure (threats) when a patient (prisoner) refuses to take what they call medicine. If there medicine was any good at making people feel better instead of like brain dead zombies maybe the wouldent need to make threats to coerce it, right ?

Tell as many people as you can the truth about psychiatry, by mouth and online, pay it forward.

But what about people who suffer delusions, voices they speak out loud too in their heads etc.etc. How is best to take care of these people? And not all of them were institutionalised or on medication before they got that way? How best to treat and look after these? Not have them wandering the streets, uncared for, as in medevil society, surely?

A generation ago, society had eccentrics. Now, thanks to the efforts of psychiatrists, we have now people with “mental disorders” and the number of disorders grows each year. People who worry about state surveillance are labelled “Paranoid”, those who argue passionately against injustice and have a head full of facts and figures are “Deluded” and suffering from “Thought Disorder” and those full of dreams and visions of a better world are “Psychotic”.

Meanwhile, kids who prefer to explore their surroundings and chatter (as thousands of years of evolution prepared them to do) instead of sitting still listening to teachers are labelled as “suffering from ADHD” and drugged.

If we stopped all the fraud and drugging for profit that goes with it costing insurance companies billions there would be more than enough money to treat people who actually "suffer" from mental illness if they WANTED it.

I understand your comments about eccentricity etc., however a generation ago there were also people who wandered around shouting to themselves, who were said to be possessed or the village fool . Not all people are the same, learn the same way, are academically inclined etc., but mental illness does exist and some mentally ill people are way beyond being only eccentric, and cannot look after themselves.

How does the existence of very severe mental illness justify drugging healthy school children with the same class of drugs ?

"Investigators from the University of Maryland in Baltimore found that from 1997 to 2006, use of antipsychotic medications in this population increased 7- to 12-fold, with most of the increased use associated with treatment for behavioral problems. "

www.medscape.com/viewarticle/780671

RIDAY, March 22 (HealthDay News)-- Use of antipsychotic drugs among Medicaid-insured children increased sharply from 1997 to 2006, according to a new study.

"These drugs were prescribed for children covered by Medicaid five times more often than for children with private insurance. Researchers said this disparity should be examined more closely, particularly because these drugs were often prescribed for a so-called off-label use, which is when a drug is used in a different way than has been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration"

These drugs are chemical lobotamys, they do not heal anything.

Hi isabella, sorry it took so long to reply , back logged 15 years of paper work due to these head quacks!! Jo was one of the other nurses , and I am still kicking myself that i did not keep the pill and have it tested to see what it was. Was like, my sons life is in danger , Ill deal with this shit later when i get out. So many counts of negligence for just one patient , let alone all the others . They just play on... they will just accept abuse and that they are mentally ill and will not complain etc.sane people do not cop' you are mentally ill . I jumbled my words and became confused for a few seconds whilst under duress and traumatised. this is why I have had to write a book about it all ... nightmare from hell , far from finished the book yet , but if you email me one day in future and leave email to reply back to, when i eventually finish that book , ill email the whole thing to you ( and you cna give me your opinion!!!) thanks Isabell [email protected]

They suppress the manic and psychotic symptoms and without these drugs you will not be able to function. In psychiatry we have a GAF scale to assess functioning. You are likely to have a score of 20 without meds. Take your meds - especially your lithium. Take your olanzapine too! Also believe me when I say, Bipolar is more than mere eccentricity. It is a serious mental disorder. Very serious! Take your meds take your meds take your meds. Spare the rest of Society the experience of seeing you ill. Take your meds

Awe, the pathetic little psychiatrists are all upset because their most recent crimes against humanity are all over the internet. Shame on you psychopaths for chemical lobotomizing little children! And how embarrassing for you to have your DSM "bible" of stigmatizations declared scientifically "lacking in validity" by the head of NIMH himself. Your drugs CAUSE your bipolar and schizophrenia symptoms, you fools. You deserve to be defamed and tortured for the rest of your lives. How dare you attack millions of little children, psychiatry!

Spare the rest of Society the experience of listening to your bullshit. Why don't YOU take some olanzapine? You psychiatrists are the real NUTCASES. You damage people and get away with it. You ruin lives. You don't cure anything. You cause disease. You are NOT doctors.Psychiatry should be destroyed. It is a menace to society.

Look at these comments !!! the truth is spreading !

NAMI (like Pharma), run a huge well funded PR campaigns in an attempt at deflecting their well evidenced egregious behaviors. Yet in truth, it's all just more of the same old tired smoke and mirrors show, so they can continue along with their profitable, unethical, and even criminal doing business as usual routine.
