I almost always wake in a wet nappy. I never rush to change. I usually wet at least once more before changing. I think eventually you just get used to the wet feeling so why rush to change when you get up.

Always happy to chat on here. I am a nightly bedwetter and wear terry nappies and plastic pants. I have wet most of my life and and can honestly say my bedwetting doesn't bother me any more and I have come to enjoy wearing nappies. Before I got the internet I always knew I couldn't be the only grown man still wetting the bed but was amazed to find just how many of us there are of all ages still regularly bedwetting. Although being a bedwetter never bothered me and it may by my own fault I still wet the bed as I never made any effort to become dry as a teenager when I'm sure with a bit of effort on my part I could have certainly reduced if not beaten my bedwetting. As a grown man I would have periods of shame and disgust as a grown man steel sleeping soaking in his own urine more often than not, although the actual wetting didn't bother me and still doesn't. It was more the fact I didn't understand why I din't mind wetting the bed and really I should.
After getting the internet I found that many adult wetters simply accepted and embraced their "problem" as a way of dealing with it. I decided to do the same and have been so much happier for it. Now I just get on with life and don't worry at all.

Due to a lower back injury I have limited bladder control. I wear Attends diapers with a soaker pad during the day, and multipul cloth, pin on,diapers with plastic pants at night. I'm 30 years old and live with my 38 year old sister and her girls 18 and 16 years old. My sister has been changing my diapers since my mother gave her the job when we lived at home. I have a bad hand and its hard to change myself. Recently her 18 year old has diapered me. My sister has trained both girls on how to diaper me, so they could be get baby sitting jobs. Being a wetter can be upsetting when your on trips because I'm placed in very thick diaper that show my need to contain the many wettings and messing during the trip. my shorts just fit over the diapers and plastic pants.

I'm in my night diapers and plastic pants not long after dinner. And they are thick enought to take all the wettings until after breatfast. I live with my sister and 2 teenage girls. My sister diapers me. She is afraid I will fall asleep watching T.V. and wet were I set. My sister told me to wet my diapers, thats what their for silly.

I have read that it is estimated that 1 percent of adults have a bedwetting problem, and have also read that this is possibly a conservative estimate since many adult bedwetters are to ashamed to admit it or see a doctor.
But even if the 1 percent figure is taken as accurate, given that the world population is about 7.12 billion, it means that probably some three billion or so are adults. One percent of that means that there are probably around 30 million adult bedwetters in the world.
So doesn't that make all you bedwetters feel a little less alone? I know I do!

i personally see it as a major problem. If i carry on bedwetting any longer ill kill myself thats how i feel. I want to be a normal teen...no care in the world. I want to be able to stay at my friends house without worrying someone will find out, or let a boy stay at my house without him seeing nappies or plastic bedding. THIS ISNT NORMAL. 2-7 is normal. even 7-12 is alright but after that it isnt. PLEASE I NEED ADVICE ON COMPLETELY STOPPING BEDWETTING.
There is a drug called Minirin (I think that is the name) that can be taken at night. This has a success rate in stopping urination at night as long as you keep using it. Ask your dr. My son is 10 years old and has always wet the bed every night. My friend's son who is 14 is also a bed wetter and this drug works for him. He has much more confidence now. Have you tried a vibrating alarm at night to train yourself to wake when your bladder is full? I understand your stress. There is nothing I'd like more than to find a solution to my son's problem too. The drug did not work for him when we tried it a year ago but we will soon try it again. He can not have sleepovers or go to overnight camps...
Please have strength. There will be a solution and many people live with much bigger problems...
Courage!
