a real bedwetter looking for help

Hi I'm Taylor. Im 16 and I wet the bed. I've read some of the posts on here and i have to say i'm very disappointed with this forum. I came here to see if i can maybe talk to people who have the same problem...but all I see here is a bunch of diaper obsessors. You guys have so many sites why go on here. its fine if you want to support us but you are making up wacky stories and it makes us feel like crap. Anyhow I started wetting last year when my grandparents died. I was very close to them and I don't function the same since. My mom took me to the doctor but since its physcological and not physical he couldnt do anything. After my therapy my doctor suggested that my mom and step dad diaper me. He claimed that it was a way to get closer. which sometimes i think it does but i hate them for it. I am in diapers for dinner, cartrips, specail outings, and bed. and i wear cloth with snap on rubber pants or plastic pants.

so i would love to talk with people who are in a situation similar to mine. at least i came out and said everything and i would love to discuss different things. feel free to chat with me on msn or email me

I am happy to talk on here about all aspects of bedwetting and nappy wearing I was a chronic bedwetter as a child. I'm in my 40's now and still wet the bed.

The problem is all of my own making I'm afraid. I missed the wet bed feeling when I found I could stay dry at night so chose to carry on wetting on purpose. I did see a doctor during my teens and he said I had an unstable bladder that might improove in time. After that my parents were able to get disposable incontinence briefs like big nappies and I had a proper cover on my bed. It just became accepted I wet the bed which I did on and off until the end of my teens. I started wetting again during my 20,s and have done ever since. I wet in my sleep most nights again now.

Don't be sorry I'm not I fully understand that most people that wet the bed long to be dry at night. For some unexplained reason I'd rather be wet. I have tried being dry many times and even gave up wetting altogether for a while but it only made me miserable. For some reason wetting my bed makes me feel happy and contented and waking up wet always gives me a buzz and I am at peace with the world. I wet on purpose on and off for many years but eventually regressed to true sleep wetting again. This was the right desicision for me but I wouldn't expect others to understand unless they feel the same way.

i wet almost every night until about 9, then i started getting better and by 13 it was about once every 2 months so not bad. well since i turned 15 like 5 months ago i have been dry. i hope it can stay that way. please

Taylor I am a couple of years younger than you and I am a girl but I certainly can relate to your concerns. I have a serious bladder control problem that I am told I will probably always have to deal with. I wear Goodnites most of the time but also wear cloth diapers and plastic pants or disposable diapers, especially when traveling. It is nice if there is someone to talk to. I am popular but afraid to date. I'm sure other girls also feel the fear of some guy they like finding out they need to wear protection all the time. I am always interested in knowing others who can relate to my wetting.

well ashley i can see where u are afraid at 14 i would not date anyone anyway. 2 reasons. 1) my sister had so many problems with boys i would just avoid dating. and 2)if u don't go out with anyone. people will only like u more and u won't get in fights with friends over boys. so please for your sake wait. i think that after college u can probably find someone that is right for you and won't care. most people don't have problems with people that are semi urinary incontitent. but people will and do look down on diaper lovers. and from what i know u r not a diaper lover so u shouldn't have a problem. what exactly is the problem with daywetting, do u just not feel an urge to go. or do u just feel nothing

Logan I appreciate your answering. I don't feel anything until it just comes. No warning!And NO I am NOT a diaper lover. In fact I can"t understand why anyone would even---ever want to wear diapers. I appreciate the protection they
give but certainly don't enjoy wearing them.

As far as dating goes, I am just afraid incontinence will keep a guy from liking me as a girlfriend.

i know it wouldn't bother me, but then again, i just got dry and hope to stay that way so i sort of know what you are going through. one thing that i will say is that it would be best for you to not let anyone at all know in high school. I am in high school. a little overweight and trust me i never hear the end of it. kids can b sooooo mean.

This afternoon (about 20 minutes ago) I got a call from Randy. He is a boy a year older than me and he belongs to the same youth group as I do and the group is going bowling tomorrow night and then out for pizza. Randy asked if I was going and I said maybe I hadn't decided yet. He asked if I might consider going with him and he would pay for bowling and pizza if I decided to go. He is really cute and a lot of fun. Mom said I could go as long as it was with the group. Mom and daddy really think Randy is a great kid, they have known his mom and dad for years. I told him that if he came over later this evening I would let him know. The cool thing is he knows about my bladder problem since his family and mine are good friends. I never dreamed he would ask me out (even with a group). Shirley will be
jealous. She's this girl in our youth group who has a major thing for him. WOW! now I hope he
don't back out. I AM EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!

oh my god... so even though i have been dry 4 awhile i still have to wear diapers to bed. so i woke up and was lazy so i turned on the tv and watched 4 a good 2 and a half hors before i changed out of my goodnite. so when i did change i found that while i had been laying in bed i had messed myself without knowing. O MY GOD i have no idea what to do i am freaking out.

Logan just thought i would let you know that i
went out on my "unofficial date" with Randy and we had a good time. We went miniture golfing instead of bowling since the group decided we would have to wait to long to get the lanes we needed. I wore Assurance pants and they protected really well. Whats really cool is that they fold down at the waist so you can make them like a bikini pant and they are well hidden from view. They protect well too. When i got home they were pretty wet but no leakage. I like the fact that they don't have prints on them which can be a tell-tale sign you have pull-up type pants on. I am use to that and not to alarmed if
they are noticed but still plain white are less
noticable especially when the waist is folded down. I didn't mean to ramble on but just thought you might like to know how things turned out. Have a great day!

Logan i would suggest bringing that to the attention of your dr unconcious messing can mean several things including bowel impactions which can cause permanent rectal nerve damage, which means you will poop without warning pretty much for life :\ seriously bring that to your dr's attention. But the first thing i would suggest is DO NOT FREAK OUT, the term shit happens also applies here, just relax, it could have simply been a fluke, but you still need to tell your dr specially if it continues but dont freak out about it, seriously. and for folks who dont understand diapers, if you NEED diapers, you usually hate them, if you dont need them, you usually like them.
