I just had my spine fused L2,L3,L4 9 weeks ago due to a ATV accident. I am 56 years old. I have not been in much pain and not on any meds since I got out of the hospital 6 weeks ago. I have yet to hear of a positive result and feeling very discouraged. I still have leg and lie back pain and am being very careful. Has anyone had a nearly full recovery? Thank you

They really have no idea what they are doing, big med is pushing what they do, some of it, is truth, but most is hit or miss, bottom line you can look at the nerves, charts, info, and most likely you'll be trying everything for the rest of your life, as all of it from fusions, lapendectomy, narrowing, vitamin d3, this that, osteoarthritis, arthritis, stenosis, etc, well going on 15 yrs, 6 surgerys, try it all, had, retrying SCS, AND PAIN PUMPS, BUT WHAT REAL BAD IS THEY WANT YOU ON THE CHEAP NARCOTICS. but you could be the exception, and hope you have and like speaking with your insurance all the time. but god i hope they fix you, in europe taking out screws/hardware for flexible, and stem cells in missing discs.

I had L4-S1 fused with screws, rods, and cages in 1993, and, because I developed stenosis in L2-3, my surgeon removed the screws and rods while performing decompression surgery in September. My back feels GREAT considering I'm almost 63 years old. I would say my surgeries (3 total) have been VERY successful. I would like to hear of others who had their screws removed. I had never heard of this. I thought they'd go with me to the grave!
