There are at least seven drugs now that have been approved by the FDA for osteoporosis treatment, although they all carry distinctive risks as were other medications. Patients may need to discuss an option that would best suit their medical state as bone drugs like Fosamax, has also been connected to a string of inadvertent effects. Current information about Fosamax and related issues are featured at http://www.fosamax-lawsuit.net

Although the concerns about the long-term safety of bone drugs are not new, the FDA performed its own systematic review of the effectiveness of bisphosphonates after years of use. The agency’s analysis, which found little if any benefit from the drugs after three to five years of use, may prompt doctors around the country to rethink how they prescribe them. Not all osteoporosis medication is safe for everyone to take. The side-effects of bisphosphonates like Fosamax and Reclast should be investigated thoroughly or at least looked into seriously by anyone thinking of taking them. The three major side-effects of bisphosphonates medications inlcude atypical femur fractures, osteonecrosis of the jaw, and esophageal trauma. http://www.fosamaxclassaction.us/femur-fractu...
