I am a 14 year old girl and in the last week have started experiencing lower back pain. The pain started whilst playing tennis. It has gotten worse as the days have progressed and started last Saturday. It is on the left hand side of my lower back and the pain is intense. It hurts a little when I walk but when I do any form of exercise running, tennis, jumping I feel like ripping of my back! The pain is a sharp stabbing pain. I feel like I have to crouch over when the pain starts as if I stand straight it gets worse. It hurts when I bend and also if I lift up my left leg when sitting down. Can anyone tell me what it is and how I can resolve the pain? I have never had back trouble before. Someone told me it may be a muscle spasm? Please, please help me. I have been taking painkillers and applying heat but still no luck. Thank you.

I can totally understand your pain and where you're coming from. When I had my own back injury 3 years ago, I was only 18 then. I felt very frustrated and annoyed with the pain my body was going through, especially at such a young age. My doctor sent me for physiotherapy sessions and asked me to wear a corset-like back brace to provide extra back support. I found a really good website that sells a wide array of back braces and supports. they even have products that can help with your SI joint condition. I bought my back brace from this website http://www.braceability.com/back-braces-back-...

I hope this helps and that you find relief from your back condition.

I cannot believe you are dealing with this at 14. I think anyone under 40 dealing with this is crazy!

Obviously I doctor is the only real person who can help you. I had lower right back pain for a while and stretching was the only thing that really helped.

This gives you a lot of treatment options if your pain is lower on your ride side. But I think these could work for any lower right back pain. Some of these treatments you can do at home so that should make it a little easier. Good luck!

Hi dear,I cannot imagine the pain you are going through. The best place I found for treatments and other information was OrthoTexas. Hope it helps. Take care

I'm sorry to hear that you are having back problems at such a young age. Have you set an appointment with a chiropractor or other professional? It sounds like you have done all that you need to do. You are really young so you shouldn't really be having this problem unless something is seriously wrong. http://www.drjaminet.com
