Drugmaker Merck & Co., discussing its first-quarter results, said it will apply for approval by the end of 2013 for five new products, including a new type of drug to fight bone-thinning osteoporosis, odanacatib.
I think people can see this as justice especially of they are affected of the Fosamax situation because it should have been his duty as CEO to look over things in the company.

The new osteoporosis drug from Merck and Co. is indeed promising. However, as were any medication, there may be no full guarantee that the upcoming drug won't have reports of side effects.
