17 with Bulging disc for 4 years.

I am currently 17 and 4 years ago I suffered a bulging disc in the lower back as a result of fast bowling in cricket. I have had symptoms of sciatica and possibly piriformis syndrome. The physio and doctors have done all they can up to this point, and even after doing the advised stretches every day, a balance between sitting and physical movement and proper posture, I have still suffered into my 4th year of this injury. I cannot run, jump, or even jog. If anyone has experienced something similiar I'd love to know, or if you did have this and have recovered, how long did it take.

Hi Adrian I have a bulging disc at l5 s1 as a result of fast bowling. Once it happens you can't remove the problem completely but you can manage it. Regular stretching of the lower back, hamstrings, gluteus, hip flexors and adductors combined with icing the area for 15 minutes every hour when it flares up works a treat for me. Cut back on running and incorporate some cycling to reduce the load on your spine. Do some isometric core exercises such as bridges and side hovers to strengthen the area. You may not get back on the cricket field as a bowler but at least you will be pain free

i had the same thing as u sciatica disc bulge my disk is in its place now. my advice to u is recognise your creator. all praise be to him he creatd u when u were nothing and he has created everything in this universe and things futher out that scienists cant even know, he can fix u if he wills and u can not be fixed unless he wills . Ask your creator to help u then all this physio will be a means for u to get better
