Neuroscientists Find Protein Linked to Cognitive Deficits in Angelman syndrome

Aug 1, 2013 Full story: Newswise 42

A team of neuroscientists has identified a protein in laboratory mice linked to impairments similar to those afflicted with Angelman syndrome -a condition associated with symptoms that include autism, intellectual disability, and motor abnormalities.

The blame vaccines for everything only works when genetics isn't known. That's not the case here.
Angelman syndrome is caused by deletion or inactivation of genes on the maternally inherited chromosome 15. The most common genetic defect leading to Angelman syndrome is an ~4Mb maternal deletion in chromosomal region 15q11-13 causing an absence of UBE3A expression in the paternally imprinted brain regions. There are four known genetic mechanisms that cause Angelman syndrome.

Maybe in anti vaxxer la la land. Vaccines certainly do not cause known maternally inherited medical issues!

You mean not in PHARMALAND where side effects are coincidences and death has no meaning. They have reported similar protein issues for autism, but 80% and more are NOT INHERITED.

Really? Do you mean to tell me one day they'll find out autism is maternally inherited too??!!!! Thanks for pointing out the 'reported' similar protein issues!!

The Winnipeg dummy still has no comprehension of what "NOT INHERITED" means. Spontaneous genetic mutations are not inherited, but neither are they caused by external (after birth) factors such as vaccinations. By definition, spontaneous mutations are the result of random genetic copying errors that occur at conception, long before any vaccines are administered. Everybody has a hundred (or more) spontaneous mutations in their genetic signature, but most such mutations have no harmful effect.

Of course, the Winnipeg dummy doesn't want believe such scientific facts, because they don't fit in with the quackery rubbish that he wants to believe.

More gaseous excrement from the UK. Doesn't understand that a DEFINITION can be biased, doesn't understand a research study can be bought and paid for. Doesn't understand that money corrupts. Doesn't understand period. Ignores facts like vaccine compensation awards for mutation, injury, death, so he doesn't get bogged down with the truth. Instead ricDUH99 wants to filter the truth through a pro-pharma screen that ONLY discusses favorable information. What a stooge.

Is there an equivalent to the Nobel Prize, for mad conspiracy theorists? If so, then the Winnipeg dummy would be high on the list to be awarded it. After all, he is the only person in the world who even claims that definitions are "biased" and paid for by Pharma. What a joke he is.

It's Winnipeg's answer to everything. Instead of providing info to his claim vaccines caused Angelman syndrome, he comes up with some 'biased' definition and research is bought and paid. He cant even tell you which vaccine he thinks causes it, he claims 'vaccines' do. He cant even show how vaccines cause genetic mutations. And what he hasn't thought threw is if vaccines can do all that, then so can the disease if it's contracted. Any of the contents of vaccines can be found in daily environmental exposure. Best of all, he has no idea the vaccine history of anyone, let alone of this article. And then of course and predictable, he resorts to calling names.

It's a lost effort to claim a maternally inherited disorder is caused by vaccines. Maternally inherited has only one definition, and it doesn't at all include vaccines as a cause.

Just spent so time searching. Andelmans is only caused maternally in a few cases. And there are suspected vaccine links.

Try 'some', not 'so' time searching. And it's Angelman's, not Andelman's. You'll have to do a little better than a single case study, and try a disorder that isn't genetic. Dravets is also genetic. Even within your own link "A history of vaccine encephalopathy is rare among patients with learning disability and refractory epilepsy". Do you ever read the studies?? The study isn't pointing to the cause of, but suggesting an important underlying condition in cases of alleged vaccine encephalopathy after pertussis vaccination. You know, a non vaccine related genetic predisposition?? Whatever age ric99 is, he's correct in that Winnipeg doesn't understand studies at all.

Guess your comprehension issues prevent you from understanding. Maybe see a neurologist. Just yesterday I read where Angelmans is inherited in FEW cases, and genetic means then it a mutation after the fact. It explains just like autism and its just another example of what vaccines can cause when they alter a baby's genetics. But here's something you should comprehend...DUH!

No one really cares where you read, we all know anti vaxxer sites say a lot of things which are not true.
No matter what you cliam, you nor anyone else cannot change the fact that the most common genetic defect leading to Angelman syndrome is an ~4Mb maternal deletion in chromosomal region 15q11-13 causing an absence of UBE3A expression in the paternally imprinted brain regions.
However, of course you have yet to disclose what part of the vaccine alter's a babies genetics to support your unfounded scare tactic claim.

"Any of the contents of vaccines can be found in daily environmental exposure" seriously, you are an idiot, another shmuck running and rooting for vaccine without knowing anything about it!!! All the adjuvants in the vaccines have taken decades to develop, and you say they are in our daily products.
