2 There are sleep disorder's, a certain percentage of kids with autims have sleep disorders. We chose to do a sleep study, an EEG while sleeping as well and my son with autism has a diagnosed sleep onset and sustained sleep disorder. There is medication to help for this, you need to consult a doctor or get a referral. |

My daughter twitches and cries while she sleeps. I thought maybe she had ESES (a seizure disorder) like my 5 year old but her EEG came back clean. A few weeks ago I researched twitching and saw that it can be associated with sleep apnea. Then I saw that Sleep Apnea is linked to Autism.
I scheduled a sleep study for the end of the month. They are going to give my daughter the works. |

1 Then try posting and not including other's posts into yours which shoul dhave nothing to do with info you're providing. It's also important that what I posted about my son's sleep disorders not to be confused with Sleep Apnea, which you referred to about my child. |

1 Would please read what friend writes. Don't read between the lines and start with your bullying. When I read your posts Yogi Bear, I see you as unfriendly and mean spirited. Was you mother a loving and caring Mother? |

1 I agree - Yogi Bear needs to read more clearly and stop making errors in what you read. Don't bother to add any of your comments, until you have read what someone writes, and not slip your own words into someones comments. Your mom sounds mean, to threaten a child to walk to school if they didn't take care of their chores/horses. And my biggest complaint is when we all get off topic - I am guilty - this topic is sleep disorders and children. |

1 Just to be clear: I said nothing of a disorder being 'better' than another, just pointed out there is a differences between what I stated and what you twisted. Knowing htere's different types of sleep disorder's is good for one to know for the treatment and outcome of it will vary. I also do not name call. show me where I ever have. I do not know the other posters either and if they post, it's solely their own opinion just as the one posters opinion when they warned me about you on another thread. Include me into a post, you're then begging for a reply. Tell me then who is the one predictable? |

1 Either way, I posted what we did for my child, a sleep study and many tests prior to medication. A sleep study can determine alot about sleep in a child, and that's of who we're speaking about, children. Not adult with college degree's. Many parents would not even know about a sleep study or where to locate such a provider. If the info provided doesn't pertain to one or a few, then move along. For the first poster, it gave them a place to start to find some help. |

1 Back to you who needed help. If your son has an IEP, you can have it written within it your son's sleep issues and if he misses a day due to this or is tardy, it wont be held against him state-wise for attendance. I would still also suggest talking with a doctor about this. There's a new study out about lack of sleep in pre teens and teens that causes high blood pressure. It's something certainly worth looking into some help. Good Luck to you. |

1 One more thing. You should also have a log with the school and you, letting them know of particular worse sleep nights than other's and your child's performance at school on those days. If you seek out a doctor, this will be helpful for them to see an over all picture of your son's day. Sleep studies often also consist of at home sleep logs right down to the minute. So if you start one now, bring that also to the doctor. |

I responded to you in another thread and asked several questions regarding your views on autism. I have another question. Was riding horses really therapeutic for you? How about music? My daughters are crazy about animals. Do you have a good sense of direction. My 3 year old is incredible with directions. When you walked to school did your mom ever fear you wouldn't make it there? |

2 I advocate the theory of the person who posted the article, that regardless of topic, if they asked for help, not to ignore them. They posted the article to ask for help, period. I might add Mother from NJ went off topic here too, and you replied to them. But I never stated you went off topic, other than including me into your posts which was uncalled for. |

1 For any who are bored: * Do hyperbaric chambers help autistic kids?(contains the warning) * Drugging of America's children (is the topic your posts were deleted) It's easy to claim I am all the other posters than friend I suppose than to admit other's don't appreciate your comments either. I don't care if you agree with me or not, or vise versa. I'm not here to offer you help, you obviously have it all together even way back in the 1960's. Just stop posting to my comments unless you have something productive to add than attacks on me. You've been attacking me ever since the HBOT topic and the warning a poster gave about you, which the warning seems to have been true. You're making a spectacle of yourself and totally side-tracking away from the 1st poster. |

1 Some of your posts were deleted, to read this sites TOS No one did warn you on the HBOT thread. What I said was they warned me, about you! My comment you nicely posted was off topic, but I was replying to that off topic, not starting and again, read this sites TOS before you copy portions of other threads wrotten by others. <paranoid schizo nutcase> name-calling but please keep posting. You're giving a great performance and a poor example of what we can expect our children to grow up to be. All anyone needs to do is read other topics and see this is patterned behavior. |

1 filing a suit to clear up their good name? Yogi Bear being the name? I can see the head lines now: "Yogi Bear vs Friend" wonder if they also live in Jellystone Park? Hanna-Barbera Studios would have a field day over this. friend of friend- I'm not a bit worried about this person. I did read this sites TOS, obviously Yogi didn't. The more they post the more I and everyone else get's to read, there's more than Asperger's going on. |
