Its vaccine damage and it may have a purpose in that these vaccine victims needs outlets for their energy and boredom. Since vaccines have ruined the part of the brain that would allow them to speak, be social, play, imagine and grow mentally, they are left with an inability to do these things. Stimming is frustration in action.

I've read about others who can communicate saying they have to stim. Its likely a nervous disorder cause by vaccines. Quite common along with social awkwardness. Have you asked him why? Seems he would know what he feels about needing to flap hands and what relief he gets from doing it.

It has nothing to do with vaccines for starters. Obviously the anti vaxxer was wrong again in assuming the abilitites of your friend and stuck his foot in his mouth, again. Stimming can be due to frustration of any typical person. Many people have stims, only no one cares about them unless you have a label attached to you. Nail biting is a stim and so is hair twisting.

Stims for anyone is self-stimulatory behavior. I watched a 3 year old hand flap due to being excited and they had no disability at all. The stim itself could be due to excitement, helps them concentrate, helps them cope, it coud be a visual stim as well. If the hand flapping only happens some times, it'd be more easier to figure out why with when it happens.

Stimming is common in people with ASD(and, as friend said, some similar stimming type habits are even common in Neurotypicals, although they tend to be less obvious). Flapping, pacing, rocking, hand movements in front of the face, etc. are all pretty normal for an autistic person. One thing I agree with the antivax crazy person on is that you should just ask him if you want to know why he does them. For me, stimming can be for just about any reason. There are times when it's frustration or nervousness that seem to be causing it, but other times I'm just relaxed and concentrating on something. In fact, most of the time when I stim I'm not in any kind of frustrating, or otherwise negative, situation. I could be sitting around by myself, feeling normal and relaxed, and still be rocking. It's just what comes naturally, so I do it.

I would ad that for them its in their normal range and it could be compared to things neurotypical people do like swing their feet or cross legs or in friends case flap her gums talking nonsense.

I hope your friend finds a way to manage after sacrificing his normal potential to vaccine carnage. Hope he can be happy and not turn out like Jeremy Holmes and Adam Lanza.
