For good reason. And every time they want to neutralize parental worries about REAL issues with the MMR they bring up Wakefield, a doctor who tried to help autistic children when no one else in medicine would. No parent ever complained and STILL support him. Wakefield was rail roaded by a kangaroo court and a conspiracy involving government, media and court officials. Wakefield's medical intervention was not a study, it was a doctor helping children.

One parent did complain. Try 1 of the 12 children within Wakefield's study who won a £500,000 when his bowel was perforated in more than 12 places during surgery for the study. That family does not support Wakefield and Wakefield helped none of those 12 children. He only helped his bank account when taking funds from attorneys. Wakefield's 1998 whatever it was wasn't even medical intervention. He harmed children. Invasive tests including colonoscopies on all 12 children is not medical intervention. Like it or not, admit it or not, that's called experimentation, and at least some of the parents allowed it on their children.
And all 12 children still have autism.
