Just about every time I go to a hotel, the hotel that has DTV goes out because of a weather pattern. Awful.

I am always amazed at how one company can stay in business when the customers are fed up with the service. No bad weather within 100 miles and TV has the channels screwed up. The channel says TNT law and order but I am seeing hsn. This cable service is provided in our apartment complex otherwise I would disconnect.

Dishes are so 1990's. The only reason they still exist is because of the monopoly with the NFL, which is illegal. Remember MLB was not allowed to have a monopoly with DirectTV.

I have been a customer for the past 5 years. I have put up with the bills just slowly going up. Now this weekend I phoned twice because my dish just stopped working. The phone calls did nothing. They have terrible customer service. After doing all the resets and tests it said on the screen to call Directv for service. They said the only way that someone can come and look at the problem is with a $50 fee. I told them that is not fair after 5 years at $4200 total payments they would not waive that fee. I am going to another company and canceling today. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Had Direct-TV for 2 years. The reception problems got so bad we decided to drop them
and go back to OTA, just an antennae. Then sent us boxes to ship the stuff back. We
would ship it back the day we got the box. Direct would say it was not received back
so would trace it thru UPS and let them know who signed for it. They would then admit
to having it, but would need another part sent part and the process started over.
Finally got all the parts back, no more calls and final bill paid. 6 months later
started receiving mail from them asking to come back, only 1 every 2 months. After
another 6 months called them and asked to be taken off their mailing list since we
would never go back. After the call got mailings every week. Sent them an e-mail after
2 months of that. Now I got 2 mailings a week. Have called them several times and still
get 2 per week. Don't go to them since they will never let you go.

Does any body have the current contact email/phone # etc for current High level VP's etc at Direct TV? I found one for Ellen Filipiak Sr. VP of Customer care, any idea of this is correct - best way to get issues resolved to go to high level!

Direct TV sent a letter that looked like a Christmas Card to my family and they spend time and money getting it to me asap. I opened it and it was a stupid ad from Direct TV. They should be put in Jail. I can imagine what their service is like

~~I got the same card and took the liberty of sending it back to the person it was from along with a note telling him what I thought of his service along with ads from Time-Warner that I thought he might be interested in :)

<quoted text>I am? That's news to me. Did you ever stop and think, that someone else just might happen to have the same screen moniker as me? And I never said directv was "so great". I simply stated that monthly rate increases, were bull, as well as his "surprise" credit card billing. I have had charter, dish, and direct, and direct has far been the better choice, hands down. Are they perfect? No, but they are the best choice in my opinion.. So sorry to burst your bubble, but you are wrong on BOTH accusations...
But you're a loser. So it evens out.

Today I called for a request for a new remote for tv. Ours has gotten so slow. We have changed the batteries and that was not the problem. I am charged monthly for direct tv equipment. But you were coming to charge me more for a remote. I dont understand. But the customer service rep. Stated if I would up date my service, and pay more money, that I could get a free remote. I am very displeased that I have to pay for a remote, but I am paying monthly rental equipment fees. Thats stupid..... The rep was not interested in the problem just wanted to sign me up for more tv channels. I think what we pay now is to high for what we get thats no much. does the reps get $$$$ for signing you up for more channels????? Oh I for got he also wanted me to take out insurance on the equipment....why? you r going to charge for every thing, no matter what.

I had Direct for 2 years. At the end of my contract I cancelled due to poor service and poor signal. I called 3 times to make sure my contract was up. My bill was always paid early by a couple weeks. After my last payment I cancelled. But when I was called to cancel I was told that my contract was extended for 6 months. I talked to them a while and I thought I had it taken care of. A couple weeks later they took $111 out of my bank. I called back 2 days in a roll and was told both times is was taken care of. Well they just credited my nonexistent account. I have no account with them any longer. The second day I was told that a request to put it back on my card was no summoned. That it would take up to 10 days for the money to be put back. In the mean time I am racking up fees from my bank for not having the money in the bank. Direct taking money that wasn't theirs to take is costing us a lot more. I don't have the extra money to take care of this for another 2 weeks.

Just sat down after a long 3 days at work away from home to watch the much anticipated playoff games this week--and no signal AGAIN from some of the channels on direct tv including the football games I wanted to enjoy. Thanks direct tv. Blunder time again!
I sure am looking foreword to the monthly bill I will receive for the quality tv you provide.
