Dr. Gott's comments are pretty right on about what Fibromyalgia is about. The weather is a big factor on bad days. I have lead a support group for Fibro sufferer's for over 8 years and have learned a lot about this disease. One important thing that the doctor didn't mention is that it is also herditary. My mom, myself and my daughter have all been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. The meds Dr. Gott recomended were also in error. Anti-inflammtories & steriods will not help Fibro in aid of relief of pain. In Fibromyalgia, your brain no longer produces seritonin and can only be replaced by antidepressents containing seritonin. It has also been discovered now that Fibromyalgia is also a nerve disorder. There is the new drug out now called Lyrcia that is just for Fibromyalgia. I have not known if it has helped anyone yet, includidng myself, but anything is worth a try to cope and live with Fibromyalgia. The best medicine is a positive attitude and a grateful heart that you don't have anything worse like cancer, etc. With Fibromyalgia, you can still enjoy life. Listen to your body and rest more often, but don't let Fibromyalgia be your life!
