Hey, had my appendix removed on Tuesday and I'm still experiencing a little bit of pain and breathng difficulties every now and then. Had mine done keyhole and my stomach(which was once flat) now looks like i've put a beach ball in it. I had a bowel movement the day after the oporation but it didn't come easy.
It's just so frustrating that I need to take it easy and according to the nurse can't do sport or hard exercise for 6 weeks!
I really do not reccomend the operation.

Hi,

I had my appendix removed about a month ago (laproscopic). When I walk, I feel pulling inside my stomach. It's difficult to stand up straight and to stand for a long amount of time. Did anyone react like that? If yes, did anything specific help or I just have to be patient?
thanks!

I had my appendix removed about 5 weeks ago (laproscopic). Still feeling some pulling when I walk. I am also itchy near the incisions and my stomach is still fat. How long does it take for the stomach to flatten out after surgery?

I had mine taken out about a week ago, still hard to keep things down, is it normal to be dizzy, or is it the fact I haven't eaten food in a while, or is it because I need to drink more water?

I had mine out about 2 weeks ago now. Seems to be the same as everyone here, had some pain, went to ER and before you know it they well you into the OR and take it out. I had lap. procedure and was out of the hospital after 3 days. I started feeling better but then got the stomach flu. Now I have nauesa all the time. Has anyone else experienced that? Please I am always tired. I guess its only been 2 weeks. I'll have to push thru and see what its like after 4 or 5 weeks. Hope you all feel better soon.

I had mine out on Oct.11th went back to the gym a month later. Check with your Doc, I feel the more you move around the better, it gets the blood flowing, cayenne pepper tea with lemon & ginger helps blood to flow, google it... Iam having issues with my double hernia operation I had in July, still have pain and real uncomfortable from that.. Hope you all feel better..

I had my appendix out by keyhole surgery.. I had been in pain for a week before hand and at 1 stage it was unbearably so I went to hospital did x-rays and scans.. Notin showed up on the x-Ray but there was something on the scan so sent me in 4 keyhole..! My appendix was irregular as the tip of it was Inflammed.. They kept me for 5 nights 2 after the surgery..! When I came out of surgery I was in severe pain but after 4-5 days I was back at school altough was painful had to keep goin no point feeling sorry for yourself.. Was back playing sports 3-4 weeks after.. I got my appendix removed at the start of november they still are sore sometimes especially if you get hit but the scars are onli small but do annoy me at times...!

Mine was ruptured and taken out on December 17th. Was discharged December 18th but should've stayed a day longer. I was post partum 2 weeks so I was still recovering from delivering my 9 lb. baby. Since I was nursing, I had to continually pump before and after my appendectomy to get rid of the "bad milk" (contrast from the cat scan and anesthesia from the operation). Not fun when you're already in pain! Two weeks later I'm still having severe cramps on my right side, can't take deep breaths or lie on my left side without pain and I feel very weak... Not sure if this is normal or not or has anything to do with my uterus contracting when I nurse? Found a lot of good info in all of your posts....sounds like it just takes time unless the pain is very severe in which case you should call your doctor. Thanks everyone!

I had mine removed on the 1st January at night. I stayed in hospital for a day and a half after that. I was very anxious to go. I had it taken off laparoscopically but the thing was big and eventually the doctor had to cut about an inch or so. My CRP was 6 so it was inflamed. I went #2 the next morning but it was good enough for a squirrel. It's been 2 days now and I keep going #2 like 2-3 squirrels twice per day and still trying to convince the wife to have sex. Came here to check about the #2 and see when the bloating goes away. I am sorry to hear so many people being in pain. I actually thought it was a pain free procedure. I was even asking the nurses to not give me pain killers when in the hospital. That being said I hope everyone is pain free ASAP.

I had my appendix removed (laproscopically) 7 weeks ago. I still feel a weakness by my stomach on the side of the incisions. I am not walking the way I used to before surgery. Did anyone react like this? The incisions look like they are healing nicely but could something be wrong inside?

I walked a lil slow for a while and kinda still am trying to be a lil careful. I went back to the gym after 4 weeks. Just be careful and always check with your doctor. You will be fine and back to normal in no time.. I also had a double hernia last July.. Keep your body moving, it keeps the blood flowing..
Good luck
