I HAVE JUST READ EVERYONES COMMENTS, IM HERE TONIGHT LOOKING FOR SOME INFORMATION. I went to the ER on february 17, 2007 because I was experiencing abdominal pain, after all the tests they told me i needed surgery to remove my appendix. It is now three months later and I am experiencing a lot of pain at the incision sight. I have taken it easy, I have not done any heavy lifting. I was out from work for three weeks after the surgery and until recently I was still on light duty.. I did return to the surgeon on two occasions after the surgery for the same complaint and all I was told that it will get better with time. How much longer before I feel pain free??

How can you tell if something has been left inside on 2/27/07 I had a hysterectomy I have been having a sharp pain about an 1.5 inches from the cut now it seems to be bruising and when rubbed it feels like a needle poking through and hurts really bad when touched.

I am in terrible pain 4 months after laproscopic surgery to remove my appendix. bloating, tender stomach, and awful pain in my testicles. I went back to work to soon after the surgery because I had to, and perhaps that had something to do with it. Surgeon has no clue, CT scans with contrast show nothing. No inguinal hernia. Nerve block didn't really help. I have staples in there, so I don't know if that's causing any pain. Wondering if this will be forever? Very depressed 39 year old.

mine was infected a while after the surgery.
they actually had to cut it all open again and leave it open. Do you have any weird oozing at all or any skin discoloration or bruising?

I felt the gas pains a little after surgery. I had it done about 3 days ago. The only problem I am having now is aches with my wounds and trying to go to the bathroom!!

When did you have your surgery?
I had my surgery 2.5 weeks ago and my stomach is still not flat. I asked my doctor and it is normal because due to the surgery you haven't been using your stomach muscles.

Hello, I had ny appendix removed almost 2.5 weeks ago and my stomach is still bloated.I am very skinny person and it looks really strange. My doctor told me that is is normal due to the surgery(you have your stiches inside and it takes up to 3or4 weeks for them to dissolve. Also, you are not using the stomach muscles at this time.I think the first week is the worst.

I have had pain attacks very much like labor pains since my laproscopic partial hystorectomy surgery a year ago. The doctors keep telling me they have no idea what is causing the pain but I didn't have it before my surgery. Has anyone had this problem?

I'm 26, female, and had a laproscopic appendectomy 2.5 weeks ago. A week after surgery I developed severe pain where my appendix used to be. I went to the doctor, they did tests, decided I had a small infection and sent me home with cypro. I was better after a few days. I just finished my antibiotics and just started having that severe pain again. A friend told me that happens sometimes post surgery. I didn't know if others had experienced this or if this is normal. It's so strange because it seems just when I start to feel good I get this pain.

I had my appendectomy yesterday morning 24hrs ago. and was home by the evening. I went in after I convinced myself that my abdominal pain was not gas. since the pain was not localized to the right side, they didn't operate until the morning. I had laproscopic surgery and felt good enough afterward to go home last night. My only severe pain is in my right shoulder, and the medications keep this tolerable. If I had known about the post-inflation pain, I may have asked for standard "big-scar" surgery.
