I have to say that the physical damage of alcohol is horrific. You know those photos you see of people <before and after> after 2 years of crack abuse? Well if you see someone's face after just being 2 weeks clean of alcohol they look 10 years younger. Which proves what a hold it has on people like me because I am a bit vain I admit, but I can't stop drinking even for the sake of the way I look to others :( It's a bad scene.
Don't talk pish !

I stopped drinking for 6 months to proove I was not dependent on alcohol.I didn't feel any healthier nor looked any younger , the only difference was I had more money and free time.I am not saying everyone needs to drink but also some can handle being heavy drinkers and still be a functioning working normal human .

All this crap about 2 weeks off the drink and feeling like a naw person is just bull and will only disapoint people when trying to stop when they realize they still feel shit !

Yes. I went to an AA meeting and couldn't believe how many were not alcohol addicts at all and one had not had a drink for 20 years even. So what the heck was he doing there at the meeting?
Maybe the meetings are a substitute for these people who've kicked the habit but have no imagination to take on proper hobbies and interests when sober.Im not being mean but thtat's what it looks like to me.
But then again at least they got free of alcohol so fair play to them. That's something I still have to do.
AA or NA is a simple program.
Basically its one addict helping another addict.
You ask why is someone with 20yrs clean time at a meeting-simply because he suffers from the disease of addiction which you only get a Dailey reprieve from-he's found a new way to live substance free and this includes meetings regularly.as easy as that...
Don't ask me how it works it just does and when I had no where to turn them rooms do work.

I have ordered prescription drugs (without a prescription) online from XTOP24 .COM about two years ago, and was pleased with the speed and quality of service.
I'm thinking of doing the same thing with my medication. The meds is expensive, but there is a generic version available overseas.
I love the idea of taking responsibility for my own health (or lack of health) and skipping the bureaucracy... to say nothing of having to drive to the doctor, wait in line, yet again, to get a prescription refilled.

I started taking Tramadol for hip pain and I'm an alcoholic. As soon as I started taking it I lost all urges to drink and I haven't had a drink for 3 years now. I take around 2 to 3, 50 mg a day, taking 1/2 a pill 4 times a day and it works for me. If I want to get creative, I take some Soma with it, very nice. I found a very good place to get both http://goo.gl/C3kOQa . I did stop taking Tramadol once and I had a very hard time trying to sleep, felt like I had the flu. Once I stopped taking it, the urges to drink came back, so I'd rather take Tramadol than drink. Crazy huh? Anyone else notice the same feelings about alcohol?
