I have very sensitive skin and began using Arbonne,a Swiss skin care company's products last summer, and my skin has never looked better. Their mantra is safe, pure and beneficial products, so the skin care and makeup is of the highest quality.
The eye problem could be an allergy to red dye that is in many darker shades of eye shadow. Also, mascara could be the culprit and should only be kept for 3 months!

I have been using cover girl for years and all of the sudden one day I wake up and my eyes have a terrible rash, itchy and swollen, same as all of these other examples. I have not been wearing foundation, liquid or powder but last night I went out so I wore some, came home and took it off b/c it was itching slightly, I wake up this morning and I look like someone hit me with a baseball bat in both eyes that is how swollen it is, I took a Benadryl and I have medication from the Dermatologist so I am waiting for that to kick in, I am almost positive now that it is the make up I have been wearing, my eyes are swollen, and they looked chapped the next day after a reaction....

I got my first set of makeup for christmas this year. Eyeshdow, blush, foundation, eyeliner. Little to no makeup was on my face at the end of the day.
Day One: dark circles, normal pimples. I cover them up with foundation.
Day two: Little red pimpley looking lumps under eyes, around nose, and forehead. I figure this is a breakout. It looked like pimples and it didn't itch.
Day three: more red Pimply dots. Getting harder and harder to cover them all. Without makeup, I look really really bad. Under my eyes is the color of a tomato, speckled and lumpy.
Day four(today): really really REALLY bad. Still not itchy. Parents notice, as it is completely impossible to cover. They say it must be an allergic reaction. If to anything, probably the foundation.

I may have made some crucial mistakes upon the way. 1) when "breakout" began, I applied more and more makeup to cover it up. 2) may have forgotten to wash it off one night.
I'm going on a date tomorrow, and I don't know what to do!!! I look terrible, like a zombie or something! Please help!!!!

hi i have these red bumps on my eye, and they kinda look like pimples but arent white heads. There just red bumps on my eyelid up to my brow. and on my other eye there is one really close to my lash line. on the bottom of my eye it hurts to blink only that eye. what do u think it is. my mom thinks it is because of my makeup. i use the loreal inflanible eyeliner for my waterline and upper waterline. and for my eyeshadow i use this really cheap eyeshadow from the 99 cent store (i know really stupid) and i also use the prestige liquid eyeliner from target. do u think that is my problem and i should change the makeup?

Do not wear any make up for a week. After a week, or once your face is healed, slowly start introducing the products. You can first start with mascara. Use it for a week. If nothing happens, then on the second week add lets say an eye shadow. Use those 2 for a week and so on. Keep adding whatever makeup you have every week and if a reaction occurs, then you will most likely be able to tell what is causing your skin to react.

Another thing that you can do is just simply apply a small amount of product on the inside of your arm twice a day for a week. If you get itchy, then that's how you can tell..

Hi I will never buy Covergirl concealer or lashblast eye mascara! It burned my skin and gave me Contact Dermatitis around my mouth and eyes! My Dermatologist said its caused by stress or allergy- well after hundreds of dollars unable to treat it- I went and saw my allergist-he did a chemical patch test-turns out I'm severely allergic to a chemical (toxic) called imadazolidinyl urea-and its in covergirl make up! In fact its in Maybelline Revlon, Bath and Body, etc! These companies know this formaldehyde resin causes contact dermatitis, cancer nerve damage- I am so angry because I'm in the beauty industry and a professional vocalist- I need my face to look flawless- and it used to- now it has a red inflamed ring around my mouth and eyes-so when are these cosmetics companies like proctor and gamble held accountable? Why are there no warning labels on the side of the package? That concealer ruined my face and I feel if anyone has had any symptoms like me, they should report it- its the only way things will change:(

Wow really? I have pretty bad eczema but those products never really damaged my face...I guess it all depends on the person.

Hi
I have always and didnít really use to get spots much, and i never use to wear foundation, a few months ago i though id try the mac foundation as i have oily skin and i thought i would try to get a mother look. After 2weeks my face broke out in spots and i still cannot get rid of them. Firstly i assumed it was the weather and heat. But i decided to use the foundation less and now only wear it when going out and never wear anything in day. However the spots are nw worse they are red and sore and bigger then normally. This was after I wore the makeup and it was on abt 10hours the next day these spots have come up and i still have them now so thatís been around 3 days. What can i do, am i allergic to all kinds of foundation or just mac??? had clear skin and

I have the similar experience with the make up. I guess the allergy really depends on the skin and the product. I am going to try different products to which one works for me.

If you are suffering from allergies, allergic reaction's etc....it's because alot of times we focus on attacking the symptom,by looking for a quick fix, but dont look to eliminate the cause.
If your interested in eliminating the cause and i recommend you check out the link below it has done wonders for me,family member and my clients :D
