I have suffered severe allergies all my life and have tried everything under the sun to find relief. I took shots or years and years, starting with the kenelog shots and then regular allergy shots. I got to the point where the shots were totally ineffective. It was then that I was introduced by a friend to a chiropractor that practiced BioSet accupressure for allergies.

The way it works is this. All things have energy fields. By holding an allergin that you are allergic to and pressing certain pressure points, your energy fields can be cleared and not react to the allergin. I know it sounds like voodoo. But take it from someone who has literally tried every thing out there IT WORKS!!!

My suggestion is to find a chiropractor, naturopath, or accupressurist who practices BioSet or NAIT. They will not only find out what you are allergic to, but give you a natural and painless non-evasive cure.

Another non-drug way to eliminate allergies is NAET.(I believe that Paul7224 was trying to refer to NAET.) Many naturopaths and other alternative practitioners are able to deliver this treatment. My son and I have been through the process, and it's been extremely effective for us. My allergies have been completely eliminated; my son is still being treated but it appears that he will eliminate his allergies as well. My son is only 7 and has no problem with the treatments; they are not painful and are easy on the patient.

Essentially, your body is trained to stop reacting to a substance as a "foreign invader". The treatment does make use of acupuncture theory, but there are no needles involved. As Paul7224 says, it may seem strange, but so did acupuncture not that long ago, but even medical doctors admit that acupuncture is an effective treatment for many conditions including pain management.

As someone who also dealt with allergies for many years, I would recommend this treatment.

Allergies are terrible to deal with but you might be surprised to know that there is an allergic "threshold" that most people need to cross before they get symptomatic. Someone might have already been 85% to the threshold and the addition of a dog or cat pushed them over the edge. There is a great allergy test available called ImmunoCAP. It's a simple blood draw (not the old test that involves thousands of skin pricks!) that tests for food and airborne allergens. The cool thing is that it's specific to the region you live in and you get a report that tells you exactly what you're allergic to and how sensitive. Anyway, my wife found out that she is allergic to olive trees and she had no idea. She thought it was our new dog (which a bit of it is...). We got rid of the trees and now she's fine! Get this ImmunoCap test. The Dr. said it was new so you may have to call around to see who's using it. Good luck!

Hi Kevin,
I am usully against taking medicine due to side effects. During the day I take claritin D, when allergies are really bad only. But, at night I can't live without my nose strips. They are very easy to put on. You get used to them after you find out what they do for you.....help you B R E A T H ! You would not go to bed without them anymore! I don't hope.. I know this really helps! All you have to do is try it!:)

Yes, I was referring to NAET. My chiropractor practiced a modified version of BIOSET, and it proved to be very effective. Unfortunately he has moved to Utah. I have gone twice to the guy that took over his practice in Sacramento, and once to his ex-parter. I have found neither to be as effective. The guy that took over his practice uses a massager on the accupressure points rather than applied pressure. It is only effective for a couple of days. What I want to point out here is that BIOSET really works. If you find a practitioner that you don't find very effective, try another. Fortunately, I know the points for one technique, and can now treat myself. The only drawback is that I have to go out and pick up samples of various trees weeds and grasses. I have treated myself for some, and I'm definately better. But there are still things out there that bother me that I haven't found yet.

Some people like taking querciten which is a natural antihistimine. It works pretty well and it's often mixed with nettle leaf, homeopathics, etc. It seems to work but it's effects stop as soon as you stop taking it. In my acupuncture practice I use an herbal product called Envirelief ( www.jallie.com )and it works as good or better than Claritin D. Check it out.

Also, probiotics are key. Not just the ones in capsules that give you a small amount. Something with at least 50 billion organisms per dose. Happy Healing!

Hello Allergy to Olive Tree ( Achoo ):

YES the IgE Test will tell you what You Are Allergic To > BUT this is not the Whole Picture / Solution.

You are correct to mention Allergy Threshold .. but it is Important to realize that your Allergy LOAD > Leading to ThresHold Overage is a function of Multiple LAYERS of Offending allergens .. to single Out 1 Allergen is not Useful .. you have to Neutralize as many Offending Allergen LAYERS as Possible.

Also.. most Offending Allergens are Omni-Present in Today's Society ..

Sure you can Live your Life in a Bubble ( to some degree..but not Realistic ) > but the BEST Solution is NOT to take Med'swhich ONLY Maksk Symptoms ..while your Allergy Disease Progresses / Gets Worse ..

Suggest .. go to your Prime Dr. for a Geo-Regional Allergy BLOOD Test > Then... begin Under-the-Tongue ImmunoTherapy ALLERGY DROPs which have been Custom Formulated specifically to Neutralize WAHT YOU Are Allergic TO Based on YOUR Allergy Test Result.

Hi Luke:

I may have some relief to offer. I have had allergies all my life and began taking a powerful antioxidant called OPC-3 3 months ago. It has worked fantastically. It is a natural powder, dissolved in water first thing in the morning (creates an isotonic solution) that gets absorbed within 5-10 minutes.

It is just an amazing product.

If you would like more information or have any questions, please let me know.

Thanks,

Marc
