It is more than likely mold. when it first rains the intial drops kick the mold spores out in to the air which could get your symptoms going. I get the same problem. The wind is the worst for me though. It seems like when it is windy my allergies go crazy, itchy dry eyes, stuffy nose and dry throat.

My hay fever used to got worse before the rain. It seems that cyproheptadine helped a great lot. It's a generic version of Periactin only costs about 25 bucks per 30 pills.

I do! Am finding out that is when I have my most severe allergy attacks, after it rains. Guessing mold but not sure? I know I'm allergic to pollen and mold, but this is the first time I have put it together than rain seems to be causing this.

My allergies are the worst on a rainy day too. I thought I was imagining things but I guess I`m not alone.

I have the same reactions. I get allergies so bad my back teeth ache ..running nose, sneezing, etc. All worse when its humid or raining out. Zeretex helps but takes hours to kick in. Anyone found an immediate fix?

My allergies & asthma gets worse too. My nasal passages starts to hurt very badly & I get a severe headache. I don't have any medicine for it yet because it just hit me a few weeks ago that something that goes on when it rains is causing this reaction. I thought I was making stuff up too LOL

I just realized the pattern in my insane allergies revolves around rain as well. I take Loratadine, I usually about triple the dose and then have to repeat it in the afternoon. Anyone know of natural cures for mold allergies?

Same here. I tested negative for mold and mildew and everything else, but everytime I have a bad reaction is when the rain is coming or has just started. So far this morning I've had 5 sudafed, 2 loratidine and nasal spray. Still dripping like a faucet and sneezing.

Apryl wrote: What about your sinuses.....does anyone elses sinuses completely block up too oh god mine get so bad I cant even drive sometimes. It blocks up my whole head and teeth hurt. To top it all off my ears block so bad that when I try to unblock them they like fight back and block more and make me really dizzy. I totaled a car once because of it. I still have not found a cure that stops the pressure in my head from getting that bad.

I believe the pressure changes caused by rain can cause problems for some people. I get a splitting headache every time it rains. I have been to an allergist and have had all the allergy testing done and I am not allergic to anything so they think the climatic changes(like barometic presuure) are causing my headaches.

I don't know about anyone else but when my skin gets rain water on it, it burns like mad. Nothing I do can stop it. I've talked to doctors about this and they have no idea what to do. It's very rare as I have no problem with other kinds of water and I now believe it might have something to do with the acid in the rain.
