from jihadwatch:

"Remember: when in Muslim countries, non-Muslims should conform their behavior to Muslim sensibilities. And in non-Muslim countries, non-Muslims should conform their behavior to Muslim sensibilities ...

"'Non-Muslim residents in the kingdom must not eat or drink in public during Ramadan, in respect to the holiness of Ramadan and the feelings of Muslims,' said an interior ministry statement published by the official SPA news agency."

Ramadan isn't really a fast because it ends at dusk each day of the month; it's more like eating on a "reverse cycle".

We should expel all muslims from Western countries. They will never fit into a democratic society.

Since the Ramadan fast is obligatory for all adult Muslims except those who are ill or travelling, are muslims traveling to Syria for jihad exempted from fasting as well?

I find it odd that muslims can kill others, including other muslims, in public during Ramadan without disrepecting the "holiness" of the month, or the "feelings" of fasting muslims.

This is really stupid.

I was born a Muslim (now an atheist) and growing up in a western country we all fasted through work and school. I never had a problem with my non muslim friends eating in front of me at all. I'd encourage them to and not hide their food or feel guilty. As a muslim I was (forced) doing the fasting for myself and for God. I was showing appreciation for what I had. That didn't come from the exceptions and inconvenience of others because that's not what fasting is about. Having self control and showing you can do it. Not moaning about other people eating in front of you making you hungry, that's ruining the 'honor'.

Why is religion so hypocritical? Why do religious people keep changing things to suit them?

Anyway I'm an atheist now. I try not to judge Muslims because I've been there before, but some things do or want are just ridiculous and illogical. This is part of the reason why I'm now an Atheist.

Those public eaters really had no shame of themselves and no respect for others. These are the people who would get drunk in public and mate on the streets in their Western countries. The Saudi authorities were right in meting out the warning. There are always Muslims out there, with no risk of corrupting locals, ready to replace those high earning foreigners. I am one.

Yet muslims can kill others, including other muslims, in PUBLIC during Ramadan without disrepecting the "holiness" of the month, or the "feelings" of fasting muslims.

For nonmulims living in Saudi as migrant workers, they are sacrificing their souls for food, living under the bigoted intolerant Saudis.

This is a classic case of 'When in Rome.' Pity they don't think about respecting western law when they come over here.

But the beasts expect tolerance in our countries as they preach their hate and collect welfare. Truly the angriest, least joyful , most miserable people in history.

Mawar- in which western country you have seen people 'mating' on the streets and get drunk in public? Around the world, there are millions of non Muslim people, who are ready and willing to replace the herd of non productive, lazy, welfare money swallowing and DANGEROUS MUSLIMS in our western world. have a very peaceful, prosperous life without them here.We will

may I suggest that you try this little exercise? Imagine that your ancestral homeland ( I say that because I, like many others, believe you live in the west) suddenly experienced an influx of non muslims. I'm not talking about 'tourist' quantities, but immigrant masses. No sooner had these non believers settled, than they began to press for change, change that favoured them, so that they might feel more 'included.' Yet, despite this request for a more inclusive attitude from their host, they were being encouraged by their own community leaders NOT to integrate and to reject the ways of the host nation. Imagine your soldiers coming home from deployment, and being jeered at and having racist and traitorous hate openly yelled at them. Imagine further, that your police did NOTHING to intervine and stop the racist rant and taunts, but were quick to arrest any of the natives who dared to complain about it. And finaly, imagine a gathering of none believers, gathering at mecca, or perhaps mohammeds tomb, and displaying a photograph of the place in question, photo-manipulated to resemble a western church, flying the George cross/union flag, or the star spangled banner above it. And imagine your frustration when people like this, couldn't be deported because of their human rights......rights, which they would NOT be entitled to in their traditional homeland. Do that, and you may develop some understanding of how we westerners feel. Please don't be too harsh when you judge us. We are, after all, only human.

Sure, why not. No country is gong to complain anyway. Saudis can't be made mad.
