Although I respect that you are a physician but seems as if you are a bit bitter. I am currently participating in a local weightloss program in Tampa and I am very happy and secure with my physician and his staff. I have reviewed the FSBP laws. In fact my physician and his staff discussed those laws and state and federal laws during my first visit with them.. The physician does not have to personnaly pull my medication; however, he does have to inspect my mediciation and medical chart. He also does not have to personally hand it to me, and when I do receive it his initials are on my vial. I have also found in my research that the medication that you mention "everyone gets" is one of the top 3 medications that the National Insititue of Health recommend for the treatment of obesity, so I do not have a problem receiving medication that the next person is also receiving.

Nancy, it sounds like you know alot about the shots. I am currently on depressant med. and have been for 3 year, will the shot hurt me while i'm on this med. or is it okay. They do not have a website yet, but they have patients that come from Huntsville. They can sell you the injections and you can take them home and self administer them. You can buy up to a month's worth at a time. That way you do not have to go there every week. They have patients that come from as far as Nashville. I really have made a lot of progress since I started going there.

There is a Dr. Eugene Kang here in Baytown. Not sure if that's too far for you. I have only been going to him for 1 week and I've already lost 6lbs. My neighbor went to him for 4 months and lost 40lbs.

I saw and ad in the paper for weight loss that included these shots. I am overweight and have high blood pressure. Im trying to lose weight and doing it alone it not working. Your comments here give me hope and now there is a doctor here in my area that provides this service. I need to lose 100 lbs. Hopefully my life will take a new turn.

After reading this and hearing so much from this blog. I thought I would write and mention my two sense and give you my thoughts if these injections. From what I have been able to find on the injections is that they are a combination of amino acids, minerals and vitamins.I do not want to give you medical advice, but the literature that I have read does not show any adverse reactions to individuals taking anti depressants. However, I do strongly advise anyone wanting to lose weight to see their physician or a physician based weight loss program. If you are unable to locate a physician in your area then the best way to lose weight is a low carb and protein diet. Try to drink a lot of water and always remember to include exercise in your lifestyle. Best of luck to you!
