It is good that they allot that amount of money in their research and manufacturing. That way they can come up with a better device that can help alleviate patientÂ’s orthopedic problems. http://www.hiprecalllaw.com

With the number of issues DePuy is facing, I think this is quite inevitable. In fact, they also have recall issues that I have read here http://www.depuypinnaclelawsuit.com/recall which can be avoided with quality equipments.

That is the bright side of the issue! we know thjat DePuy gain so much negative release over its faulty hip replacement. lets see things on a different aspect. The most important is that they learned from their mistakes.

This is a good development after the Depuy hip replacement recall, which according to medical experts was done too late. In several articles that I came across in the http://www.rotlaw.com/depuy-asr/ , Depuy did not put its ASR hip system products through all test to ensure that it will be good for public consumption. The many lawsuits that have been filed against DePuy and its mother company Johnson & Johnson, claim that DePuy already knew about its product's defective design as well as the fact that it has a high failure rate, however, it opted not to disseminate the information earlier to the public.

It's great that the DePuy Orthopaedics Inc. is investing on a research equipment. This way, they would be able to ensure that the product they put out to the market have been thoroughly tested and would pose no harm to consumers unlike its ASR hip systems. I came across this website http://www.depuyhipreplacementlawsuit.com/sym... wherein articles are posted about how lawsuits continue to pile up against DePuy in relation to its ASR hip systems, said to cause high levels of metals chromium and cobalt in the body.

yes- learn, but not at the expense of people's lives. My grandmothers legs were numb due to screws being loose and internal bleeding from their mistakes. She just passed away last week and was too ill to reoperate.
Thank u Depuy

This is a welcome development that a certain group is interested in investing in doing research and improving the artificial device, a lot of patients would be happy to know about this. See also http://www.depuypinnaclelawsuit.com/last-year...

Any plans that may benefit mankind will always be very commendable such as this one in the report. If it means improving the lives of people, then we should support it. However, if this will just be any business decision without the regard for human lives, then this should not deserve our support. If this will just result to another DePuy ASR hip system fiasco or another vaginal mesh tragedy, then they better not proceed with it.To get an idea of the damage incurred by thousands of patients, see the write-ups available in DePuy ASR hip lawsuit information center.

It is about business and PR however with out these kinds of levels of investment there wouldnt be growth and development in healthcare. We should support it.

Most of the growth in health care is malignant.

J&J has been a major player in the industry but a number of their products have also been either recalled or discontinued because of certain safety problems. I surely hope that they would invest on improving their surgical mesh implants as well. I read from bladdermeshlawsuit.us/ transvaginal-mesh-recalls/ that their surgical mesh implants have also been the center of controversies and legal cases lately.

This is definitely good news to everyone. Investing in research and equipment may mean a lot in coming up with the best products. What is important here is to put the concern on people as the priority instead of business reasons. It is only when they lose this sight that problems may occur, very much like their metal hip implants. As revealed in the Kranksy trial, their desire to maximize business benefits resulted in having faulty designs which also resulted to injuries to thousands of patients. Hopefully they have learned their lesson after the fiasco with their ASR hip systems. They should put more importance on the welfare of society that in their financial goals. It has been alleged that development of the ASR was hurried due to business reasons which in the end resulted to pain and suffering of thousands of patients.
